Well photons are called photons because of a bad translation, see Enterprise(that was actually clever), they release a burst of radiation, so the gist is true, but what he seems to fail to understand is that this disproves the laser-immunity syndrome.
And physical projectiles in space are wastefull and inefficient and depends on ammunition, they're only good if they can reach longer, home and/or pack a better punch.

I thougth his reply was humorus. GL called them lasers so they must be the same type of lasers in Trek, regardless of dozens of EU sources, not to mention that even if they were Trek lasers they'd still many orders of magnitude more powerful, and also they do not behave as real lasers should.

HE MUST BURN!The result of this is that the Enterprise would be able to critically wound or destroy a Star Destroyer with one shot, while the Star Destroyer would be unable even to scratch the Enterprise's shields. It doesn't matter that the Enterprise has one weapon, is smaller, and is a "vessel of exploration". If the Star Destroyer was twice as big and had twice as many weapons, the result would be the same. So, of course, the Enterprise would be able to destroy any Star Wars ship. Corellian Corvettes, Imperial Star Destroyers, Super Star Destroyers, even the Eclipse would be helpless against it. It could be posited that even the Death Star would be useless against the Enterprise. Certainly its surface weapons would be of no use, as they are standard turbolaser batteries, but what about the superlaser? It would seem that it is just a bigger and badder laser, and would fall under the same category as other lasers, but that may not be so. If it is, then the Enterprise's shields should hold against it, but if not then we can proceed no further, since we are forced to guess as to its nature.

I think I understand now why they started to have problems with the notion of clones.....Darth Servo wrote:GK clone alert.Jadeite wrote:HE MUST BURN!The result of this is that the Enterprise would be able to critically wound or destroy a Star Destroyer with one shot, while the Star Destroyer would be unable even to scratch the Enterprise's shields. This is proof that we've been cloning people for years. Where do you think these Graham Kennedy clones come from? Anyway, I suggest that we show him here. If that doesn't work, we'll challenge him to a debate.
I'm suprised that there are people that still think ST could beat SW in this day and age. But hey, there are still people that think the Earth is flat.

It's also proof that we still have a long way to go before what comes out is actually a human.Asst. Asst. Lt. Cmdr. Smi wrote:This is proof that we've been cloning people for years. I don't think he's cloning...perhaps he reproduces asexually?
Would explain a great deal.

I just tool a look at the page in question. The guy is long winded, like Dorkstar, with nothing to back it up. And shitty logic to boot...
And since he is complaining about all the email that he receives on the subject, he should put up a FAQ page similar to what has been done here.
