By contrast to the previous Lee/Kara scenes, these are actually good.

Jesus H Christ
"Of course, what would really happen is that in Game 7, with the Red Sox winning 20-0 in the 9th inning, with two outs and two strikes on the last Cubs batter, a previously unseen meteor would strike the earth, instantly and forever wiping out all life on the planet, and forever denying the Red Sox a World Series victory..."

That was intense.

I think I'll give it a 5, actually.

She's going to wake up in a tank, but she's not a Cylon. Or she wasn't, anyway. I think that piece of her ovary they took is finally going to pay off.

Problem with that is that even if they clone her, she'll be an infant, not Kara.

I think you called it, Gil; she's a cylon. Of course, I sort of want her to be dead, for her sake and ours, but she's not going to be.

Still, that was a ballsy and unexpected twist, and I commend the producers for it. Perhaps nBSG is on its way back to full form for the season finale.

I didn't cry... until Adama put the Aurora doll on his model sailing ship ...

... and then smashed it to pieces.

Now that would actually be interesting as hell, especially if they specifically reveal the other five Cylon models as being other than her to fake us out with her supposedly being really dead.

I'm going with the raider turns out to be real, and rescued her, probably after she ejected without Lee noticing.

That was the best moment in the episode, IMHO.

Kara was fiddiling with her ejection seat before her viper blew. I'm betting that she got out and the Toasters rescued her.

Holy shit....

When Lee sees Kara's ship, before she hit deck... WAS THERE ANOTHER SHIP?!

SPOILERS (duh)

Starbuck goes nuts. Starts seeing that concentric circle pattern and herself as a child, and phantom heavy raiders while on CAP in the upper atmosphere of a planet. Various drama revolving around her. Evaluated and kept on duty after the false alarm and close call of the first encounter with her phantom raider. Flies with Apollo on second CAP, blacks out after entering lower atmosphere and its storms. Relives her last, argumentative encounter with her abusive mother before she died of cancer, with a faux-Leoben acting as a sort of "spirit guide." Visits her dying mother and parts ways with her more peacefully and regains consciousness. She claims she's no longer afraid and flies down deeper into the atmosphere of the planet (a gas giant?) and her Viper explodes, Apollo pulling out after trying to get her to return.

I'm giving it a five, guys. An interesting, introspective episode that adds as much mystery as it resolves, and with one hell of a powerful ending.

I would require more evidence, IE screencaps, but if I had to guess I would say that there were two engine plumes briefly. So my premonitions about the death may be premature.

Yeah, I saw that too. There was the flick of a heavy raider. Besides, *something* shot Kara's ship there.

Vehrec wrote: Also, how long has that sailing ship been in Adama's room?
The first time I remember seeing it was back during season 2, "Home" pt 1. Adama is working on it during his talk with Dee.
ladytevar wrote:When Lee sees Kara's ship, before she hit deck... WAS THERE ANOTHER SHIP?!
I thought I saw it too. But, what I'm wondering is the hole in her canopy. That indicates to me something definitely hit her.

Further, what the hell is up with the vortex thing Kara had doodled/was in the temple? In this episode it was just a delusion that seemed to help push her over the edge.
