I think it might be a step down from Generals, but it's certainly better than RA2 as far as I'm concerned. For AI reasons if nothing else.
I'm hesitant to make any claims about gameplay with one map and two of three sides revealed, though.

Thankfully it should be easily moddable, and there'll doubtless be an expansion to add to the list.Axis Kast wrote:First of all, I feel as if I'm being short-changed in the amount of units available. Generals always seemed to have a proliferation for each side, especially after the Zero Hour expansion was rolled out. In my opinion, units make the game.
That said, the units do tend to be good at what they do - zipped through the Alexandria GDI mission with just a few Mammoth tanks on hard, so there's not much need for extra units the way they've done it.
Yes - I do miss the General Powers & specific generals. Actually I'd also like the Particle Cannon (mini-ion cannon maybe), but there we go.Axis Kast wrote:Second, the "General" powers are less impressive. I always appreciated that choosing a certain type of General dictated how one would have to play. And, sometimes, allowed access to unqiue units.

I agree on the easy modding. But I don't remember getting Mammoths in the demo mission.Teleros wrote: Thankfully it should be easily moddable, and there'll doubtless be an expansion to add to the list.

But as I said before, I liked the old not-so-super-weapons more.Axis Kast wrote:Second, the "General" powers are less impressive.
