3 Imperial knights v.s a borg sphere
3 imperial knights are inside a borg sphere and have to hijack the ship to get home. The borg can't activate there selfdestruct and the knights have simple force powers [choke, push, and drain life] with superb lightsaber fighting skills. the knights alsohave a simple understanding of how to run the ship.

Nope, he's talking about Imperial Knight's. Grey Jedi loyal to the Empire in the Legacy Era. They wield Silver Lightsabers, and wear Red Armour and Black undersuits made of a similair material to Vader's.DPDarkPrimus wrote:... Imperial Knights?
I am inferring that you are talking about Jedi Knights. Ain't no fucking thing as an Imperial Knight.

Actually, there is.DPDarkPrimus wrote:... Imperial Knights?

Still, an Imperial Knight wouldn't be any more impressive than a Jedi Knight, by my guess. They'd take the Cube with ease, without any casualties. There's just no concievable way that a Borg Drone could get close enough to harm or assimalate a trained Force-user with a lightsaber, let alone three. It's really no contest.

Well I find it partially interesting because the New Republic did what we all knew would happen, flounder and die and then reconstruct the Empire with the help of Imperial Remnants and the children of Baron Soontir Fel, although it doesn't sound as evil as the First Galactic Empire, the Jedi are allowed to practice how they like, and they don't seem to have much trouble with the Empire.DPDarkPrimus wrote:Oh gods, it's part of that idiotic Dark Horse series. No wonder I didn't know anything about it.

No, it is better. But not by much.OmegaGuy wrote:Is Legacy really as bad as I've heard?

Not quite. Rather, they are knights in the sense of the old word where they serve a lord or king, in which case the Emperor.Sarevok wrote:So the Imperial Knights are essentialy dark jedi except they claim to be the good guys ?

No, put simply. To elaborate, you remember how the Imperial Remnants became more benevolent over time? The new Empire was made when the New Republic started to die, and still is (Seriously, who DIDNT see that coming?), and the Imperial Remnant stepped in to restore order. The Imperial Knights simply swear allegiance to the Empire, rather than to the Force, and are viewed as Gray Jedi (Not Lightside, but they aren't Darkside either) by the Jedi Order, and in his coup to take over the Empire, Darth Krayt initiated the Sith-Imperial War. The Imperial Knights, other than their view that the other should follow their counterparts ways, have no real problem with each other, and in fact share a common enemy. It's also known that both Emperor Roan Fel and Princess Marasiah are Imperial Knights (Though the latter hasn't had a chance to be knighted), and the leader of the Imperial Knights, Master Imperial Knight Antares Draco, was trained by Roan Fel. But no, the Imperial Knights are no more inherently Darkside than the Jensaarai or being of the Lost Twenty.Sarevok wrote:So the Imperial Knights are essentialy dark jedi except they claim to be the good guys ?

Worse, than that. They are good guys but edgy and cool withgout all of the morals and baggage of lame-oh heroes like Obi-Dud and Yogurt. After all Quinlas Vos was the most powerful Jedi ever and he wasn't all good or all evil.Sarevok wrote:So the Imperial Knights are essentialy dark jedi except they claim to be the good guys ?

It depends on which guardsman. I haven't seen them do anything on the leave of Kir Kanos (i.e. shotting down a TIE with a fricking hand blaster) but they aren't like those guys Yoda punked in RotS.
Turns out that a five way cross over between It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, the Ali G Show, Fargo, Idiocracy and Veep is a lot less funny when you're actually living in it.

Only Sovereign Protectors are force users. Most guardsman are mundane humans. They would not be a match for Imperial Knights who appear to be a Jedi like order.Pelranius wrote:It depends on which guardsman. Like Seravok said, the Sovereign Protectors were on a completely other level from standard Imperial Guardsmen, and the Nightsaber Roleplaying Adventure from WotC indicates he's a Force Users, and the EU seems to indicate this, Kir Kanos was able to deflect blaster bolts with his double-vibro blade, he predicted that a TIE/In would crash into it's own forces in battle, he was able to pull his double-vibro blade into his hands through unknown means, and then there's Carnor Jax's statement of "Your rage blinds you to your true potential, you have no idea what you are really capable of," This alludes to Kir Kanos being a Force Using Imperial Guardsmen who just wasn't recognized (before the Emperor could die a second time and the possibility of him becoming a recognized Sovereign Protector goes out the window) and who doesn't even notice his own abilities. I think it would be relevant to mention that during the writing of the Crimson Empires, Imperial Guardsmen were still Clones, and it's alluded that Kir Kanos and Carnor Jax come from the same Prime Clone, though now the only options are that Kir Kanos is a clone of Carnor Jax's father (Since it's established that Jax's Father was a Thyrsus Sun Guard, a Mercenary Group that were the predecessors of the Imperial Guards, in that they were his secret guards during the Rise of the Empire) or that they're both oblivious GeNode Clones. So you might want to use another Guardsman for that comparison.Jericho Kross wrote:Kir Kanos also seems to be able to use the force so that adds some what to the imperial knights [ he was able to grab his vibrosword from the ground to attack vader and block e11 blasts with his vibrosword].
