Excel graphs question

Post by Hawkwings »

I want to create a graph where the x-axis scale is at consistent intervals, but the points are plotted not on consistent intervals.

Like, I want to show data points at 100, 300, 350, 375, 390, and 400. But I want the 100-400 on the bottom to be consistent, as if they were on a number line. So there would be a point at 100, then a long way over, a point at 300, then around 350-400 there would be a lot of data points compressed there.

Any was to do this?

Use the X-Y chart type.

Sounds like you want a scatter chart instead of a line chart.
