Trans-Siberian Orchestra concert
OK, I went to the TSO concert in Orlando on Dec 26, and gotta say it was at least as good as last year's. It was almost entirely the same music, except that they added two songs that may be on their next album! The first was O Fortuna, from Carl Orff's farcical opera Carmina Burana. The other was their own version of the Nutrocker. They also said things that lead me to believe their next tour will be for Beethoven's Last Night, rather than Christmas Eve and Other Stories. They have said they'll be returning to Orlando (woo-hoo!), and it sounds like it may be on Christmas Day. Just a quick summary to pass out information for the TSO fans out there.

Ooooh, they did Orff and Tchaik?! Sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet.
Hold up, though--you said they were in Orlando on the 26th? *scratches head* That's funny, I could have sworn they were here in DC on the 26th.... I heard an ad on the radio and contemplated getting my Dad tickets for Kristinmas..... Weird. *shrug* I'm probably just psycho and/or deaf, it's ok.

Ahhhh.. O Fortuna. One of my favorite pieces of quasi-classical music.
Believe in the sign of Hentai.

They had two groups this year. Orlando got most of the original (drummer and one keyboardist were new), since Al Petrelli lives in Orlando now, and the bass and guitar guys are from Savatage (like Petrelli), and one keyboardist is his wife.Zaia wrote:Ooooh, they did Orff and Tchaik?! You lucky Bastard!!
They did all of ONE show in Canada this year, which is one more than last year, and it was in Toronto on a day that I had an exam!
