Weird Firefox thing

Post by Hawkwings »

So my computer froze this afternoon, and I did a hard reboot by holding the power button until the computer turned off, then I turned it back on.

Now, a lot of my firefox settings are gone. I've been logged out of every site I stay logged in to, I lost all my bookmarks and can't make new ones, and the drop down address bar isn't showing my recently visited websites.

Anyone know what's going on?

I have no idea, but it happened to me as well several months ago ... I lost all settings for Firefox (bookmarks, passwords, extensions) AND all settings for Thunderbird (email accounts, saved emails and all other stuff).

Your profile is corrupted :(

You won't be able to keep any settings without creating a new profile, they will just reset every time you quit firefox.

go start > run and type "Firefox.exe -profilemanager"
Then create a new profile and delete the old one.
