My WaW experience...
First, I downloaded the game, all 420 or so MB of it over a 56kBps modem at perhaps an average transfer rate of 4KB per second, and all the while it downloaded, I was thinking who I was going to shoot if some obscene error occurred and fouled the download somehow.
Fortunately, it all went fine. It looks like that WaW people based it off the SP3 engine. I played SP3, and I loved it. One day in Grade 8, somehow the disc disappeared beyond all attempts at recovery. Oh well...so you can imagine my thrill when I was told they used the SP3 engine.
The SP3 engine has one major advantage, and pain at the same time. The Command and Control Function. From the looks of it, I'll guess the Camo version was based on the SP2 engine or something, and doesn't have that function.
Anyway, I used the Command and Control Function, objectives, Advance/Defense Stances all that. I ordered a tank formation to defend, and they were SLAUGHTERING the incoming German infantry because I managed to deploy them on places with pretty good LOS. But they kept coming, and eventually I had to move.
I already had a retreat objective set, but I have to change my Stance to Advance so I can begin retreating. That was when I realized that one of my tanks were out of radio contact and so I can't change its stance. I know I could go to Preferences and turn the mode off and then move the tank, but that's a little underhanded. Besides, I said I was going to use that Command and Control thing. So the tank kinda sat there, without an inch of initiative, and got killed before I can rearrange contact and move it.
Sad little story, eh?

Thank you but maybe I have already been able to grasp the concept of the turn based game.It is very difficult at the beginning but once you have understood the mechanic everything is much more simple.
