Looks pretty sweet. Of course, why that guy is toting what seems to be an MP5 is a mystery.
Here's hoping they have no sillyness like T-72s equipped with DShKMs like Armed Assault.
What the hell is the relationship between AA and OFP2 anyway?

Holy.. i've said it before and i'll say it again. The day Operation Flashpoint came out, every FPS for the next 4 years was completely obsolete. Soon, it will happen again.Vympel wrote:Link

I think the relationship is that Armed Assault just updated the graphics but left most of the underlying mechanics intact from OFP, whereas OFP2 will be a brand new game.

The relationship is simple: Bohemia lost the rights to the OFP brand, so they had to rename OFP 2 to Armed Assault. Now, Codemasters is gonna capitalize on the brand it owns, and release their own OFP 2.Arthur_Tuxedo wrote:I think the relationship is that Armed Assault just updated the graphics but left most of the underlying mechanics intact from OFP, whereas OFP2 will be a brand new game.
Now I get it. It's all about the license.
According to Wikipedia, Armed Assault is an "interim" game, while the true OFP2-that's-not-called-OFP2-because-of-Codemasters is simply known as "Game 2" at this stage.

Yes, this OFP2 is being developed by Codemasters, who had nothing to do with the original game except publishing it - they just managed to hang onto the rights to the name. I fully expect this to be a dumbed down cash-in.
