First thing I did was email fucknut. But no need to link him to stuff here. Both he and Ian have accounts here on SD.net. They're just too scared to even think of responding here.Darth Servo wrote:I suggest forwarding this to the tard right away, along with links to all the re-instated videos, the conversation posted here with Paramount's lawyers and as many expletives as possible.

My character isn’t completely original. He is inspired by a compilation of several other characters and stories.
Character's Full Name: Danté Leonhart
Character's Race: Human and Sheikah
Character's Homeland: Arcadia
Character's Special Weapons and Such: A pair of .50 caliber handguns, one black, the other white that he calls Ebony and Ivory. A double-barreled shotgun. A pair of gauntlets junctioned to a fire-element, Guardian Force named Ifrit. A huge, but fast sword junctioned to a lightning-element Guardian Force name Alastor. Well-versed in several forms of magic and has experience with most elements.
Character's Special Abilities: On his human side, he retains his father’s strength, pride and unwillingness to admit to defeat, as well as several of his magical abilities. On his sheikah side, his magical abilities are enhanced, of course. He has all the skills and stealth associated with the ninja-esque, clan-race, without sacrificing any power-for-speed. As Sheikah, he also ages very slow. He’s not immortal like an elf (will not die unless killed) but there’s no telling how long he might live.
Character's Weaknesses: Danté isn’t invulnerable to any kinds of attacks. They’ll all injure him in some form or another, but because of his skills and the magic he has learned to defend himself with, he has far more dexterity than a normal human or Sheikah would. As far as weaknesses go… Danté’s greatest weakness is probably his attitude, or even his demeanor, if you will. His unwillingness to give up, even when he is clearly outmatched or defeated can put him in… difficult situations, and though he may be introverted at times, if someone were to say the wrong thing, his temper can be very short.
A brief Story of your character: Ignore the bio in the profile. (Assuming I haven’t updated it at this point.) When he was young, Danté started off with the perfect childhood. He lived with his parents in a valley between the mountains and a port-town where no one bothered them much. One night, he had snuck out, after grabbing his father’s sword (just to practice with) only to return and find his parents brutally murdered. To make a long story short (as this is supposed to be a Brief Story) Danté had discovered the name of the monster that murdered his parents in the night, but not in time to find it and exact his revenge. Once it had gotten away, he could not find it again. A few years passed, and he stumbled upon an adventurer who could travel through time, and seizing the opportunity, used this ability to return to a time before his parents were killed and prevent it from happening. But, he failed in part. His father was still killed, and his mother ended up missing altogether. For now, he still hunts the one who shattered his family more than once, but his hope of finding revenge has long faded away. As a result, all he can do is wander, hoping that sometime in his long life-span, he stumbles upon the one who killed his father.
We call the male ones "Gary Stu". Much less comon, but also much more dangerous. This particular onbe however, would be shot down by any competent GM, DM or whatever-M. I mean, you can tell a lot about a person's abilities by how they fill out a character sheet.General Zod wrote:Not only is it not original, it has cliched mary-sue written all over it.
Back in my day, when reviewing fanfiction (a task that probably fed my hatred for mankind), we generally used "Mary Sue" as a catch-all term, regardless of the characters gender. I fail to see this need to create a masculine version of the same term. Personally, I find that labelling them with an effeminate title takes away their power. Things like this will always be Mary Sues to me, male or not.Vehrec wrote:We call the male ones "Gary Stu". Much less comon, but also much more dangerous. Also, props for the additional at the end of the credits.
"Mary-Sue" is also far more recognizable than "Gary-Stu" and requires far less explanation as to what it means. Though it shouldn't take much work by anyone well read and fairly competent at GMing to pick out a horridly cliched character right off the bat. I've pretty much developed a sixth sense for these things from my stint as an ST on one of White-Wolf's chats after seeing so many terrible character sheets.SilverWingedSeraph wrote:Back in my day, when reviewing fanfiction (a task that probably fed my hatred for mankind), we generally used "Mary Sue" as a catch-all term, regardless of the characters gender. The rampant amount of hideous character sheets and terrible fanfiction seems to say otherwise, though. . .Stark wrote:You don't need a sixth sense - surely to anyone, even non RP-ers, that character is clearly super lame wank bullshit.
And instead of actually making a new character, he probably merely changes a few superficial details while leaving it virtually the same when asked to make a new one. . . .I bet he's one of those people who always uses the same character, instead of actually doing that 'role play' thing I've heard about.
Why does this bit not surprise me at all?His unwillingness to give up, even when he is clearly outmatched or defeated can put him in… difficult situations, and though he may be introverted at times, if someone were to say the wrong thing, his temper can be very short.
