I liked the last gasp of his debates. He stopped actually defending his points, instead choosing to simply pretend he had an argument. He said he didn't have to post rebuttals because he had already refuted the points elsewhere. And no, he would not point them out to you or restate them. You should have listened the first time.

Yes, I remember having to pound on him for more than a DOZEN posts just to find out what volume he had used for the JH bug in the Odyssey collision. It was, quite frankly, pathetic. I kept asking him about his volume, and he would either say that Wong's density was wrong, or he would scream something about the desntiy that he was using, OR he would talk about the volume that Darth WONG was using for his calculations! I finally told him that I was not talking about his density at all, except figuratively of course, and I just needed to know how he derived his volume. He eventually gave it to me, but GOD... Whichj was that thread where he tried to prove that ships could turn whle in warp. It was disproved by the no "warpstar" effect while turning and the fixed camera position, I think it was Poe that did most of the countering. There's probably a wealth of quotes in there.

Seems I missed out on some good arguments here. Just out of curiosity, did he or anybody else here actually ever use current physics as a basis for their arguments? I mean, everything that, to use one of Dorkstars big words, is hypothersized in the movies (canon or not) can be proved or disproved via straightforward, current science.

I'm not really sure what you are talking about. The division between science and physics is generally very small, particularly in terms of these debates.

Sorry, I wasn't very clear there. What I mean is, did anybody take the "psuedoscience" as portrayed by both franchises and apply our own understanding of science to it. If you come up with solid figures, well the argument is pretty much over. Math is math, and it's the universal language.

As a side note, I'm not a huge Trek fan (that's my dad's job, but he only enjoys the original - he reckons the current crop of starfleet are twits

), and I'm not an obsessive SW fan. I enjoyed the first but thought the rest were pretty arb. So any arguments for or against from my side would be rather - uninformed - to say the least.

Welll there still are plenty of things to do, but the main site is about the whole Star Wars vs Star Trek bit...give the five minutes breakdown a read through and you'll get an idea of why most people have certain ideas of what would happen.

Plus it'll have you avoid many painful whoompings.

It was cos the little twat was linking to AVI files on SD.Net or something. He was stealing Wong's bandwidth and Wong found pout. That's what it says on the latest update on SD.Net.
