I'm serious. MSNBC did some polling and that was the number they came up with. Of course, they're a rival network so one might always suspect skullduggery, but O'Reilly is conspicuously silent about this claim. I don't find it hard to believe at all. This is a guy who literally spends almost all of time ranting about the good old days of your grandparents. It makes sense that your grandparents would be his biggest fans.

Bill-O gets good ratings, and even if the typical viewer is a walking fossil, there will still be thousands of atypical viewers capable of having their minds changed.

There may well be other people in the room other than those controlling the TV remote. A pissed off 12 year-old, perhaps, might get his/her first exposure to atheism this way.

I think the mean lifespan of Americans around the year 2000 was 78. It can't have gone up drastically since then.

This guy is fucked. How much longer can his fanbase live?

About as long as our evil inspired scientifically based life support systems can keep them that way...

Every 80 year old O'Reilly fan who dies is probably replaced by a youngster who just turned 70.

About as long as Lawrence Welk's, I'd suppose —though I think some of them have TVs rigged in their cemetaries.

People MY age say the same fucking shit as these O'Hannitycoulterbaugh pundits. Shows like the O'Reilly Factor will only go out of style when they're specifically banned under the Broadcast Journalism Integrity Act of 2109. That's after WWIII and the Second American Civil War.

How long do MOST talk show people last? And the average being 71 doesn't mean there's a sharp cut off at 64. It probably tapers down as the age gets younger but the fans recruit new members.
