Who says I'm freaking out? I've seen worse stuff. Hell, I've visited 4/fchan and survived. I guess being on SD.Net has made me forget the blatent stupidity rampant in some places.
Kuja, stuff like that is completely facetious, not genuine stupidity. Don't think of it so much equivalent to Spamworld but more like a permanent version of Testing.
The board was formed within the last few weeks, and is sort of a splinter forum created by members of Something Awful's Warhammer community. That should at least offer some explanation for the atmosphere.

Have you ever taken a look at alt.fan.dragons? I didn't think it was possible to have a higher concentration of 'I am not human, really!' themed delusion, denial, wishful thinking and social/emotional wreckage than in furry fandom, until I saw that place. Though some of the 'otherkin' forums I've had the misfortune to visit since come somewhere between the two.

That's not a furry, that's an anthro. The distinction is small, but important. An anthro is a human with some animal traits, wheras a furry is full-blown animal that stands upright and has manual dexterity.

Seriously there's a whole community out there who get off specifically on the transforming part (most often involuntary it seems), and aren't interested in plain non-transforming anthros/furries (though actually 'anthromorphisation' strictly means 'giving something nonhuman human qualities', i.e. the less human-looking furries, so that's a bad usage of the term - I suppose it should be 'therianmorphism' for 'giving something animal features'). Anyway, a lot of the transformation fans get pissed off if you call them furries, though for no good reason really. There's a whole load more people who call themselves 'weres', 'therianthropes' etc, which are almost exactly the same thing as 'furry lifestylers' but with slightly more mystical crap and a little more denial. Don't ask me why I know this, it's a long sad story.
