sorry, how, exactly, was Faith anything like a mopes-in-the-corner-oh-God-having-a-soul-is-so-painful-I-belong-in-an-Anne-Rice-novel ex-Vampire? Faith kicked ass!

Yes there was the redemption thing, also towards the end of season 3 she became very Angel-like in parts, bitching about how her life isn't as good as Buffy's etc.

I don't watch Buffy the Vampire Slayer, and you're talking about hot chicks on the show. I'd like to see some pictures.

I always saw Angel doing what he did as an attempt at making good all the wrongs he did, ie seeking redemption for his evils.

If you look at the end of Season 3 on Buffy, she often referrs to having a painful life (bad parents etc.). In the same way that Angel's curse is often referred to, esp. in Season 2.

I'd have to go with Willow personally....though the evil vampire one not the regular issue ;) and I do like faith, something about her almost unmitigated evil throughout that I find appealing.....

I like Willow too. Other than being twistedly evil the vamp version was hot but I like all versions.

However, there are some othe reasons to watch the first few seasons of Buffy and then watching Angel.

I think that's a fucking horrible picture of her. She doesn't look fat, but her curves aren't shown off well at all.

I really hope they bring some sort of closure to that in the last season of Buffy. Without introducing spoilers, Faith was mentioned this season, and definitely falls into what's going on. It'd be slightly weird if they just glossed over her.

Like I said, I get the whole redemption thing, but Angels curse was never anything like the jealousy Faith had for Buffy's 'perfect' life (as Faith saw it). She blamed Buffy for having all the good breaks (rather than accepting her own misfortunes and moving on), whereas Angel never blamed Buffy for anything. And just because somethings refered to alot doesn't make it a parrallel for something else that's refered to alot (otherwise Giles being stuffy would parrallel Angels curse as well :D ).

But oh yeah, she's looking to make things better inthe world and with everything going on in the current series of Buffy, I can see her turning up in this series and kicking some arse.

I want to avoid spoilers as well (the new season starts in the UK next thursday), but I've seen a few of them. And in the last episode that I saw, someone turns up with 3 other refugee's looking for protection. What I find interesting is that, that person never touched anything throughout the whole episode, which could prove interesting when you consider a cerytain explaination given in that episode and how one of the previous episodes ended on the swing of an axe. Maybe I'm reading too much into it, (and I hope I'm wrong as I really like the character in question) but could the Slayer have a problem in her house? If anyone knows for sure, I don't want to know, as I'm now prepared to watch the series as it comes out in the UK.

You don't have sky? OK we're talking season 7 (which starts on Sky next Thursday but is out in the States at the minute - upto ep9 i think), but I'm not putting any spoilers up anyway for any of the series. Some countries are only upto season 5 so I tend to keep spoiler stuff out of my posts.

It's not a problem in her house. I'll only say that the big-bad this season is basically something that was introduced way back in one of the earlier seasons, but wasn't really made a big deal of. Also, Spike's role is turning out to be extremely interesting. I had doubts about whether or not he could make it as a "good guy," but it's been handled beautifully and compellingly. Season 7 is kicking ass; I'd recommend not missing a single episode.

I find this incredibly offensive, actually. (not you, HDS, but the show) What, she can't be bi? Oh no, she has to be fully gay. So Oz means nothing apparently, just an experimental phase. And Vampire Willow was bi, so she's obviously still in denial....
Is biphobic a word?
