It's Peter David, I have great faith in his ability to sort out any problems. D'oh, just remembered Young Justice (maybe I should have just written down "Anything by Peter David, even his shopping list and Kindergarten fingerpaintings." when I compiled my listTsyroc wrote:I've got that collection too and I think I saw the comic cover with the two Supergirls at the bookstore. I didn't know they had merged though.Rob Wilson wrote: I've got the Collect TPB of the first few in Peter Davids run, but I didn't know about the Kara bit.
I didn't particularly care for Supergirl with the Flame Wings and Flame Vision. It was getting to far from Supergirl for me and too religious. Hopefully some of that has been fixed/changed now.

fuck I've read just about every comic ever....
I haven't read Hulk in so long. Infact since he left (though that's more coincidence than design), what did they do?Ghost Rider wrote:Yeah Peter David is a great writer...and I understand why he was heated at Marvel and their deciding to screw over Hulk.
Still love reading his stuff...and tracking it down though gets harder at points(too many things getting ended)
I have a sneaking suspicion that the upcoming Hulk movie with the classic green savage Hulk has something to do with it. They want the character to be similar enough to what's in the movie so they can make some extra sales while the movie is out and hope that some people get hooked. Certainly no kid is going to pick up a Peter David Hulk book and see much conection to the movie.Ghost Rider wrote:Gah, what they did to him was basically give an ultimatum about Hulk(I know the guy...not too well but he reconizes my face at cons, so I feel pretty cool)
Basically Marvel said Green Savage Hulk sells...he replies no it doesn't my 10 years and increased SALES proves that's bullshit.
So they say you either bring back Green Hulk so we can do crossovers or you can fuck off
So his last story arc was about Betty's death(which Marvel basically gave a hearty fuck you and screwed that story) and basicaly let them do what they wanted to do, as he went off to do other projects.
Peter David and Marvel have a rather colorful history...and that's being put lightly.
That figure is supposed to be available from Toy Biz sometime this spring.Ghost Rider wrote:Coolness Tsyroc
Well, the movie Blade was a big improvement over the comic version. The movie Bullseye looks okay to me. I guess a big frickin' scar on your forehead would be less conspicuous than a black & white body suit.Ghost Rider wrote: Yeah your thoughts aren't too far off, especially given Marvel's penchant to make the comics agree with the films(Bullseye is already starting to look like the movie version...I guess Fisk is going to get a deep tan)
Other than the bits I've read at the news stand I've not read a Hulk book since he turned into the Maestro after Banner sucked up all of that shrapnel from a grenade. I don't think I even finished that storyline. I was mostly going comic book cold turkey at that time to save money.Ghost Rider wrote: But yeah it's sad to see Peter David go and they decided to make Banner into some bizarre helpless persona in his Hulk body, and the death of Betty though had parts to do with PD's personal life...which can be said about a good deal of his writing at times.
Yeah, the X-Men movie was only sort of good. I thought some of the effects could have been handled better and while I think they improved the Toad a great deal some of the things he did with his tounge were ridiculous.Ghost Rider wrote:For the movie...I hope they do it some justice...at least X-Men level(disregarding that godawful quote of Halle Berry and frogs)...
But my only problem is that Banner liking to become Hulk(the preview gave a bad end line about him liking becoming the Hulk) sorta defeats even Jack Kirby's original thought of a mild mannered person become a raging behemoth(though it does star Jennifer Connelly)...but I have hopes.
For DD my problem is the too many villain syndrome(3...jeebus and apparently he tangles with all of them...hopefully they establish them ala in Media res, because I don't need to see the origin of all of them...DD yes, all of them no)
As for Blade...all they could do was go up![]()
For your not seeing Hulk...don't fret persay...other than he's a raging Behemoth on the run(with some minor mental issues, which will be easily discarded upon the next writer...damn you Marvel)
