Beautiful pictures - thank you for the link, Mrs. K.
A friend of mine has a wolf as a pet (75% timber wolf, 25% mexican desert wolf, if I remember right), and though she's a bit more tame than Maya and Wiley in your uncle's shoot above, she still reinforces that she's certainly not a dog.
I've been thinking more about getting one lately, since the more I am around my friend's wolf, the more I would feel honored to have one (or three) as companions.

You'd likely have to get an exotic animal permit and find someone who has a wolf pup available to raise. I doubt you'd be able to do much with a full grown wolf.Cpl Kendall wrote:How would you even get a wolf as a pet?

Why would you do this when you could have one of the more wolf-like dog breeds, which has been bred to be able to handle captivity, connect with humans and be safe around kids? It's a huge amount of extra hassle and it probably sucks for the animal for no gain other than the perceived coolness factor.rhoenix wrote:I've been thinking more about getting one lately, since the more I am around my friend's wolf, the more I would feel honored to have one (or three) as companions.
