My vote would be for Hannibal Lector from Silence of the Lambs. He's the definitive psychopathic murderer. Anthony Hopkins just nails him, and you can't help but be scared of him. A top notch acting job brings a cool character to life.

Either Blade or Strider.....but if I were to pick from a book it becomes far easier, Connavar from Sword in the Storm by David Gemmel or Waylander from the novel Waylander also by Gemmel.....or Fitz from the Farseer series by Robin Hobb.
