You've got to be fucking kidding me. What is this wierd obsessive compulsive thing he has with Keanu Reeves?
Methinks he's gat for Keanu. Hell, my boyfriend is, too. :P
Well, as much as he accuses others of being gay, he could be trying to draw the attention away from himself.

Look at his pics (as seen earlier in thread) for chrissakes! He's a flaming closet case if ever there was one! He automatically fails at the internet for thinking he should stay closeted. No one on the Net cares about whether you like to get fucked in the ass by a guy or not (unless it's another like-minded guy ;)).

Melvin must be getting lonely. Here's his latest email to me:

Dante,

My name is Derek Chester, and I'm a professional writer. I wrote the storyline for Star Trek: Bridge Commander as well as other games and for the series with Dorothy Fontana. I'm involved in a new project at the moment and saw your film utilizing camera angles within the bridge interface for BC. I would like to discuss with you the possibility of either your participation in this endeavor...or at the very least getting some pointers from you on the techniques you used to capture those angles and to trigger the characters movement and facial animations.

Feel free to e-mail me back if you'd like to talk further. Thank you.

Derek

Who of importance has recognized your work? Oh... that's right... Hey, but don't get discouraged! Keep up your work on LB and maybe one day it might go somewhere! I'm glad you guys got in contact with Paramount for me, because I think that's how he found out about it! I really appreciate you helping me out!

^_^

Laters!
My response:
This is what, the third email you've sent me in a week? Yeah, and *I* am spamming *YOUR* email account.

But since things are going so well with "The Last Bastion" part 5, I've decided I'll answer whatever Keanu's personal fluffer sends me, since I love a good laugh at the expense of retards like yourself.

*Snip the BC Files comparison

Right, Melvin. You're just SO innovative that this guy needs your advice, eh? LOL!! I'd love to hear that conversation!

Dildo Cuntfart: "So you see, what I do is, I spawn two little ships, then I beam to one of them, then set GOD mode, then beam to the other one, then tell the FIRST one to stay where its at, then ram it with the OTHER ship I beamed to! That makes BOTH ships disappear, and that's how I film the angles! Ingenious, eh?"

Derek Chester: "Christ you dumb fuck, why don't you just use the "hide ships" command in the console screen, instead of going through all that unnecessary shit?"

LOL!! Yeah, you're a real innovator, Neo! LOL!!!

Remember, nobody uses BC to make animation except him. He's revolutionary! HOW DOES HE TRIGGER THOSE ANIMATIONS? It's like MAGIC I tells you.

Am I the only one to read that and think he's just making more shit up? I mean that message to Wayne just oozes childishishness. Next thing you know he'll be bringing his super-Bridge Commander camera angle experience to bear on all those "insolvable problems" Stewie's SDI faces.

No. I'm waiting for him to fake an email from Berman and/or Braga along the lines of 'you're so awesome if only we had you to write stories for Voyager it would have been twice as awesome k thx bye'.

Yeah. It's not like the good folks at Activision wrote the engine, and have to go through all the contortions like you see in the 'making of RvB' to get that engine to spit out the right visuals... oh wait; they did. They can simply program the sequences they'd need for cutscenes and such.

Right! The above is exactly the hoops he jumps through to make a ship "invisible" so it can film other ships. Even though there really is a console command to dojust that!

His other "innovation" is to mash the report key over and over again to talk to the bridge crew. That's how he "animates" these characters!

I wonder why a writer would need to know how to create machinima in a five-year-old game engine. If he did send this email, which seems doubtful, it can't be for more than a hobby project.

That said, it does sound like the internet equivalent of "my dad wrestles with tigers!"

He has about 8 "test" movies up for part 3 on Youtube now. It probably takes him so long because it must take a lot of work to film the actors in another game engine on greenscreen sets, chroma key them into virtual sets from other games, and add special effects, too. Oh, wait. That's what I do!

He films gameplay in BC with Fraps, then adds voices, then edits. That's it. Must be a harrowing task.

Why would one of the contributors to the original BC game be interested in Dildo's manipulations, and NOT in all the wonderful scripts and mods that have come out like Kobyashi Maru, etc, that takes actual programming and talent?

I'm actually running out of words that could describe my awe. Dante just bested himself in the "Most pathetic bastard on the Internet" competition. I used to see things like these all the time...and do them, sometimes. When I was 12. And desperate for attention. Until, you know, I got out of grammar school. And got real friends.

The only thing better that he can do now is send Poe a fake court order from a gmail account.

By the way: Has anyone else noticed Dante's videos follow all the worst Trek conventions? There's pointless small talk, long beauty shots, technobabble, stupid plot devices (A test flight with a new piece of gear that doesn't quite work as advertised. Throwing the ship to another galaxy...) and characters explaining everything they do in agonizing detail.

It's the kind of thing "Last Bastion" made fun of in the "Ancient ritual of strenght" scene.

I wonder if its possible to email this "Derek Chester" person and ask fi he's ever heard of our delusional pal. I'm willing to bet he hasn't (Dante Who? Isn't he from "Devil May Cry?") And if not it may just be another way to get him in trouble.

Next thing you know though, he's going to spam Wayne's mail with the latest declaration that he used his uber-Matrix powers to resurrect Gene Roddenberry and have him watch his movie, whereupon Roddenberry lavishly praised it as revolutionary filmmaking. Oh, and I'm sure Keanu Reeves will use him as a stunt double body in his next movie :P

I left the Base of FltOps and went back to campus because I had other classes, but when I got there, everyone was huddled in groups and talking out in the grass and on the sidewalks. It was the erriest thing I had ever seen. Right when I stepped in the door, the CinC of the Det at the time looked right at me and told me to step into his office. At first I was like OH SHIIIT because I thought I was in serious trouble or something, but when I walked in, I saw 5 other people on his couch looking up at the TV. After about 15 mins of watching the news casts, he shut it off, turned to all of us in uniform and said: "You've got a job to do airmen... let's do it."
I know there's probably a serious side to the bolded that I'm not seeing, but I can't help but find this completely hilarious.
Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't 6:40am a little EARLY in the morning to be watching this? The first plane hit the WTC shortly before 9:00am eastern time which would be shortly before 8:00 central time. So Mr. Cuntfart was watching a news report of an event that hadn't happened yet?

No, it's made-up dreaming of a washed out Bridge Commander modder. I think, at least. This whole thing is getting more and more surreal by the minute.
