"Nemesis was supposed to be our maiden voyage, but who can leave such a great franchise that easily. We're all going to do another one, only this time they're going to mix it up a bit - possibly giving Data a commanding role to play; and bringing in some of the folks from enterprise and some of the other great spin offs".
Is Spiner some sort of moron? A maiden voyage is your first voyage, not your last one.

They've got a contract for two more films so I really don't see how it wouldn't happen unless they used a loophole.

Well, considering the amount of time he spent working in the Trek universe where people redefine terms at will...

Data isn't getting a commanding role any time soon. He's a larger-than-usual expaning cloud of dust in the middle of no where at the moment. Idiot.

Yes, but a sickening time-loop technobabble excuse could bring him back at any time. Never underestimate the stupidity of Trek writers these days.

Brent Spiner was on BBC Radio Swindon and said the movie NEMEISN did ok business and because of that that DATA will be back again...despite the fact he had an inkling to do other things, and that is was supposed to be THE NEXT GEN's last chapter.
Spiner's lost it. I thought Nemesis was looking to possibly be the first ST movie to lose money. I thought he no longer wanted to play Data, citing age concerns. (he IS getting a bit flabby)

Hell, he's getting really egotistical... a more commanding role for Data? Fuck, he was already second only to Picard in Nemesis... which is getting stupid, let's see some OTHER characters, rather than have Data be the star of the damn movie.

Anyone else think they ought to bring back Pulaski for one of the movies?

Oh c'mon guys, Janeway has that mommy taboo thing going on, but Pulaski has that grandmotherly thing going on. Ooh let's play doctor!

Based on the track record of Harry Knowles' "insiders" take this scoop with a boulder sized grain of salt. At BBC Radio, their listing of recent guests has nothing about a Brent Spiner interview.

http://www.bbc.co.uk/england/radioswind ... ndex.shtml

It's probably the work of some Brent Spiner fanboy trying to imagine a way for his gold painted hero to return to the big screen, note at the end of the message he asks to be called "B-4"

Shit, isn't Stewart tired of playing Picard, yet? Same old fucking boring character over and over. This is a man who does Shakespeare and does it damn well. His talents are being wasted on shitty writing.

Stuart has pretty much stated that he doesn't want to do another Trek.

Well, other than making B-4 into the reincarnated Data, or a timeloop excuse (like they did with Tasha Yar), they could always play up the "I want to be human" angle and have the flabby, aging look be part of Data's attempt to fit in with the rest of the crew who ARE aging.

You know... modify his structure a bit to look older. He did give himself the Jay Leno "Skunk do" in "All Good Things" ; )

Maybe Brent Spiner should get off his flabby lard ass and workout to get back in shape for chrissakes. Look at Russel Crowe- he may be a psycho but he takes his work very seriously- putting on and taking off weight at will.

And Star Trek XI is a definite. Remember the way Berman talked about. Sure thing money maker- althought that was before Nemesis ... anyway.

No, Picard's gotten worse... now he's an action hero (hmm, every TNG movie to date), he's lost that reserved nature he had in TNG, and now he's reduced to rehashing Kirk, considering how badly B&B (and Spiner, apparently) seem to want Data to be Picard's Spock and given how heavily Nemesis borrowed from TWOK.

Hell, at least in TNG we would occasionally learn something new about Picard.

OK, I can understand *how* she might turn someone on, but this is Star Trek, not hardcore pornography.

And, seriously, why not Pulaski? She was a much better character than Crusher ever was.

Please excuse my facetious attempts at humor, but, yes, she was MUCH better than Crusher.
I remember the night TNG premiered, went over to a friend's house with beer and a big sack o' ganja and, then, Mission to Farpoint. Blecchh!
I didn't really get into the series that much until Pulaski's appearance. Seemed like the show took on a more serious tone.
