Post by Admiral Drason »

So I'm done with Uni for the semester and will have a disposable income. I have a higher end PC, 360 and a DS.

So do you guys have any recomendations in games?

What type of games do you like - FPS, RPG, RTS (Get C&C3),...?

If you're looking for a fun, free game try downloading the FS2 SCP (I'll be enjoying it when I get home along with PS:Torment).

My little bro already has Pokemon Diamond and Pearl so that wont be a problem.

I like FPS and RTS, although RPG isn't out of the question. I've been looking at WoW but am afraid that I will be sucked into its crack like addictivness. :P

I'd recommend:

RTS: Company Of Heroes
FPS: Battlefield 2142 or Red Orchestra

I'd personally hold off of WoW, I think Pirates of the Burning Sea is looking pretty good and it could make it out before summer is over.

Isn't PotBS June/July? Fucking Flash and his econ/pirate addiction wants that pretty bad. :)

Is there anywhere I can look for more information on Mass Effect? The official site is full of irrelevant lore nonsense and trailers about the FPS combat which doesn't interest me. The map part of the trailer suggests there will be many more planets than say KotoR, but I don't know any more.

Already have CoH, played it almost every night during the winter months.

And I'm real iffy with getting another EA game after having BF2 become such a load of crap. I might look into Red Orchestra though.

I'd like to recommend "Crackdown" :kill: for the the 360 there are a lot of things you will like about it. It's fun, it's nice, it's bloody, it's extremely violent and just about anything you would come to expect in an "M" rated game.

Both Phoenix Wright games kick Hotel Dusk's proverbial ass. Dusk was okay, but Phoenix Wright is made up of win.

That statement is clearly faulty. It contradicts the evidence.

Hotel Dusk actually had a good story with interesting characters. Phoenix Wright was just a march through a gallery of anime cliches, although admittedly the first game wasn't as bad as the second in that regard (I played them out of order and wish I hadn't.)

Seconded. Only had time to play it like half an hour but first impressions were good (as in, hard to stop playing)
