If trees could scream, would we be so cavalier about cutting them down? We might if they screamed all the time for no good reason.

I mean, it's not like I endorsed Waffen-SS tee shirts....

Shit, according to Mike's whacked out world view, the IDF is
analogous to the SS, so yeah, I guess I just fucked up

I like the way you dismiss an argument simply by pointing out that you don't like it, Shep.

BTW, I never said the IDF is analogous to the SS. They're a watered-down version with the same mentality. That's why they fire into crowds of civilians for breaking curfew, launch rockets at apartment complexes in which they suspect a terrorist may be living (and don't care about killing anyone else in the building), gun down 12 year old rock throwers and then say it was self-defense (after all, it's well-known that stones can penetrate tank armour), kill at least 5 Palestinians on average for every Israeli killed (following the "ten eyes for an eye" Israeli dictum), etc.

EDIT: in order to forestall the inevitable knee-jerk rebuttal, I am not saying that Palestinian terror against Israeli civilians is any better than Israeli terror against Palestinian civilians. What I am saying is that they are both terrorism despite dishonest claims to the contrary, so the only ethical difference is the sheer casualty count (where the IDF is far ahead) and the fact that the Americans shamelessly support one side because of their longstanding "Israel can do no wrong" policy.

Here's something that just sums it all up.

An extreme view is probably this:

"Portuguese author Jose Saramago, a Nobel laureate, visited the Khan Hounis refugee camp in the southern Gaza Strip Tuesday, March 26, 2002. After touring an Israeli military checkpoint on the outskirts of the West Bank town of Ramallah and meeting with Palestinian leader Yasser Arafat on Monday, Saramago told reporters: "What is happening in Palestine is a crime which we can put on the same plane as what happened at Auschwitz, at Buchenwald. Even taking into account the differences in time and place, it is the same thing."
If those in charge of our society-politicians, corporate executives and owners of press and television-can dominate our ideas, they will be secure in their power. They will not need soldiers patrolling the streets. We will control ourselves

A man with a bible in his hand is just as dangerous as a man with a gun in his hand. Religion has caused so much woe. Make the bad man stop.
My sister and her husband are quite firm on their religion, and they have a little boy whom i am quite fond of, and it is rare for me to like kids. It pains me to think they are going to teach him to be a zealot. They were having a conversation on religion, and my brother in law said that there are islamics who chop people's hands off if they steal, promoting the oh-so-superior aura of christianity. I was about to say that there are some christians that open fire on abortion clinics, but i didnt 'cause im such a great guy

Well, hell, if an abortion mill in MY neighborhood got blown up or shot
up, I'd be going "Serves the F**ckers right".

my 20th Birthday.

Palestinians celebrate in the streets after hearing about the destruction
of Sep 11.

When I saw those pictures and the video of that fat bitch ululuating over
the deaths of 3,000 of my countrymen, all sympathy I ever once had
for the Palestinians evaporated instantly.

Today, I'm ashamed that I even defended them.

They really burned a LOT of bridges by their behavior on 9/11, which
was incidentially, also my 20th Birthday.

EDIT: At this point, I don't care who is in the "right" or who is ethically
"correct". I'm far beyond caring at this point, and I just want to see such
slime running for their lives from helicopter gunships.

Somethings I think we should just nuke the whole middle east. That way there'd be no worry as to who starded what, who invaded who, who bombed who, etc.

Well, luckily it's not that simply. I don't know why everyone is so concerned about terrorist building nukes in their caves or grass huts by way of internet instructions. If it were that easy, every country in the world would have nuclear weapons.

Well six eight megaton nuclear war-heads spread in and around Mecca, Medina, Jeruslium and Quarm(Six per city) would do quite well and cobalt jackets to posion the lands for a thosand years would help quite well if we where serious about this

Overal point is, if you crazy enough to do it.
Do it totaly.
