C&C3 ending

Post by dragon »

Ok I thought the ending was just a little not worth it, especially after fighting through the three campaigns. Granted playing as the aliens was fun. So what did everyone else think of the ending.

Too much sequel/expansion bait... Plus I think they've written themselves into a corner.

Realistically, Nod now has access to functioning Scrin technology, while GDI is stuck on earth, awaiting the full Scrin assualt, thinking they've repelled a major invasion force.

The Scrin are coming with whatever they've deemed worthy of a full conflict, and considering what they brought along for a harvesting operation, I doubt GDI could be a serious contended next time around. (Although, I'm sure they will be.)

And they know of Kain, but only that he exists... What this portains, and what Kain's true motives are have become, again, obscured. I think most everyone figured he was working for the Scrin, what with his obsession to spread Tiberium.

The thing that gets me is the Scrin. The force that they sent to Earth was supposed to be a harvesting operation, not an invasion force. Since the overlord is now calling for a full scale invasion, you would think the Scrin would send much, much better units, but I doubt that's going to happen. EA will probably just throw in a couple of new units, thus making an "Army"

Not only that, but the whole thing with Kane and the warp gate is just foolish. They said it cannot be destroyed by human weapons, but what’s to stop the Scrin from blowing it up? Or pouring its armies through it?

Like I said, they wrote themselves into a corner... And I doubt half of the loose plot lines will be even touched if/when we see the expansion/sequel...

Especially since EA is overlording the project.

In the tech file it mention that it's impervious by scrin weapon as well, which is just dumb.
