Just some very preliminary notes:
There are more than 3 types of asteroids (I know of at least one more, type-E).
The "DMZ" argument he presents was actually shot down when first presented back on ASVS when I reminded him that even simple thermal transfer (before you get into shockwaves heating and other things I was unaware of) the greater the temperature differential the greater the rate of energy transfer. In other words so long as you have a "hot" enough TL it will be able to conduct as fast as we see. I find it funny that DS found the argument but not the immediate rebutal.

"I put no stock in religion. By the word religion I have seen the lunacy of fanatics of every denomination be called the will of god. I have seen too much religion in the eyes of too many murderers. Holiness is in right action, and courage on behalf of those who cannot defend themselves, and goodness. "

Well, going by this site gold is $350 dollars an ounce, or $5600 a pound. Now the American dollar is equal to .622859 British pounds. This translates into 1 GBP = .807207468 grams.SPOOFE wrote:[hijack]If they are an equal mass, it should be the same.
What weighs more, a pound of feathers or a pound of gold?
[/hijack]
I can't find the cost of a pound feathers in Britian, so this ends there. But it is probably more then .8 grams.
So the feathers win.

Thanks to everyone for their compliments. Sorry about the various typographical errors, I guess that some of the problems on Mr. Anderson's site are contagious while you're reading through them. It has come to my attention that Mr. Anderson will, inevitably, reply to this. However, it is clear from his immediate response what his tactics will be with regards to responding. Essentially, he runs around claiming to have beaten the hell out of me in the past. I will not bother to comment on this, as I trust people to form their own opinions on the matter.
In any case,
I hope that you guys enjoy reading through it. I'm sorry I didn't spend more time working on insults in the debate, but it seems clear that regardless of what I did in it Mr. Anderson would attack me. Note, incidentally, that the implication is that he never even read through it before explaining that nine tenths of it was not worth responding to, or he would have been able to make a definitive comment about the ease with which he could respond to it, rather than this:
In any case,
This is my one-on-one debate with Mr. Anderson. I have no real desire to carry this out very far, because it's excruciating to go as far as I have. I am the only author of the critique (which Anderson has already ignored). Except for Wong's editors notes (which are clearly separated from my comments), the accredidations, and the quotes from Anderson himself, NO ONE wrote anything for the rebuttal. It was all mine. Two months later, Ossus called for a Warsie Jihad against that source's internet island. A wise move . . . Warsie weapons were inferior, but with the numerical superiority of an all-Warsie blitzkrieg, he thought he might be able to at least cause the appearance of damage. After all, for Rabid Warsies appearances are always more important than facts. That's what the Rabid Warsie support group mentality is all about.
Upon seeing this call to arms, I replied thusly, challenging him to a one-on-one debate, if he thought he had the courage.
Naturally, he never responded.
First of all, I never called this a definitive rebuttal. I only wrote my hopes that it would be. In any case, Mr. Wong has every right to protect his intellectual property from the likes of Mr. Anderson, who was using his bandwidth unfairly. The same goes for Mr. Poe. I have no idea why Anderson feels that this was unfair. And thus, a month and a half later, Wong and Ossus have led other SD.Net BBS flunkies into attack . . . their so-called "definitive" rebuttal of my site. Since Wong has chosen to redirect all links from this site to a porn site for fear of his silliness being displayed for all to see, simply cut and paste the following into your browser's address bar to see the sad effort:
http://www.stardestroyer.net/Empire/Hat ... index.html
This is a standard escape clause. It would be one thing to say that he had little time for such matters (which I respect. It took me frickin' hours to go through his site and write this up, so I can easily understand why someone would not respond to the rebuttal even if he could), however I have NO idea why 90% of my rebuttal crashes to the ground on its own accord. Will someone please tell Mr. Anderson that since almost everything in the rebuttal revolves around the Overview, if he would simply respond to that then he could call it quits and spend less time? If you are Mr. Anderson's mole on this site, please inform him that to demonstrate the validity of his claims, he need only respond to the points made in the "Overview" in a reasonable manner in order to end the debate. I was hoping not to have to respond to his counter-attack, regardless of what he says, so he has pretty free-reign to do so, and may do so at his leisure.Though 90% of it is hardly worth replying to, crashing into the ground of its own accord, I would hate for those unfamiliar with Warsie tactics to fail to pick up on the many falsehoods and deceptions . . . hence the following, in which I shoot down their claims. Though the focus, as always, will be in regards to the opposition's claims regarding actual, topical Vs. Debate data, the nature of their attack, as always, involves a large amount of petty personal attacks. I will respond to these if and when I feel it appropriate to do so.
I won't even bother to respond to this. I'll leave it to the readers to decide the validity of his claims. Again, though, all he has to do is respond to the "Overview" and everything else goes with it. This is not a scattergun technique. All he has to do is respond to the "Overview." All else is only supportive of that.Ossus uses creationist scattergun tactics, a la Wong (which, of course, was the entire point of them publishing all at once), but Ossus's techniques overall are lacking in comparison to his master. On the other hand, it's worth noting that in some ways, Ossus can be a more crafty opponent than Wong, if even accidentally. When Wong says something obviously wrong or that is a direct lie, he does it forcefully, and/or with a lot of opponent-bashing before and after, in the hopes that no one will dare reply. When Ossus says something obviously wrong or that is a direct lie, he does it, to borrow from Han, "real quiet-like", trying to sneak it under truth's radar. But, like Han, he often steps on a stick and gives it all away.
I also wonder, naturally, who "they" is. I wrote the thing myself, with only the aid that I accredited. I have no real reason to lie about this, it wouldn't matter if I had enlisted everyone's help in doing so because the validity of the arguments would be the same. However, I do feel it insulting that Mr. Anderson would accuse me of such deception without any evidence (obviously he has none, since I wrote the thing myself) that I had used anyone else's claims to formulate the rebuttal.if Ossus was the primary author, it shouldn't take long at all to blast through their claims

Master of Ossus first I must complement you on your valiant effort and the attention to detail you place in your critics. I must say though that the wait to read it was defenetly worth it. I doubt that Scooter will be influenced by it, his demented lies will just continue.

That is much like trying to imagine Janeway, Rosie, and Roseanne in a freaky three way...the mind cannot and will not comprehend such horrors.
If Lovecraft can't I certainly will not try

No because Adarx uses his tactic, but thinks B5tech to be the "last bastion" for his universe, where as DS thinks he embodies it for trek.Connor MacLeod wrote:What about Adarx?Ender wrote:Thank God for that. Can you imagine if there were two of them?Ghost Rider wrote:He truly is a one of a kind.
