:) Good idea. The only problem is that we still have some minors and people of less-than-legal-drinking-age on this board, myself included, and I'd prefer something everybody can drink.

Of course, that is a good idea. Using a spherical cake, we can fit 50K candles, with 1/2" in between, on a cake only about 9feet in diameter, as compared to 18 feet for a flat cake, and everybody could have 182in^3 of cake.

Of course, this is only assuming for three dimensions. Imagine the construction of a 4D hypercake.

We'll have it on a ship, twelve nautical miles offshore. Harsh American drinking laws won't apply there. Or how about Belgium, where the legal drinking age is 14?

If it's on private property does a legal age limit for drinking apply? (Doesn't where I live).
I want to see someone light all the candles on a spherical cake while still in normal Earth gravity.

most of these ideas are good but it would take me just a week to bake the cake. Not sure how long the sculpting would take.

Don't forget the Trench and Exhaust port. Those are the tastiest part!

Don't be ridiculous, the tastiest bit is the soft, chewy reactor.

Simply make it in jigsaw-piece-like sections, employ a Massively Parallel Oven Array and assemble at the construction site. This avoids the need for a forklift.

That would presumably be a keg, for a beer-shooting superlaser.

If you're using pre-packaged cake mix, or making it from scratch, substitute about 1/3 of the water in the recipe for whiskey. The cake will come out a lot richer, but when it comes out of the oven, it will also come out FLAT. Great if you're planning to make a layer cake.
As that world-renowned chef Angus Crock taught us, cooking is much more fun with scotch. That adage holds true for baking as well.
