AT-TEs scaling cliffs? What as all that hoopla about the UT-AT for, then?
I guess this shows the interest in Dark Twister's design by the people behind the series (I don't know from where the idea behind the UT-AT description came from, there's nothing which supports the description in the movie. They should have stuck to the AT-AW and that is what I call the design, regardless of the fan fantasies). Oh, I also noticed that there weren't any yells in Mando'a. Hmmm...

Ok, am I retarded? I go to the link and I see many delightful things to click on, none of which are a Clone Wars trailer.

Help me!

Here's a link on Youtube, for those people who can't access it on the main sight.

I think it looks quite good, actually. I was a bit worried by the animation style from what I saw in earlier pieces of promotional material, but I think it might actually work fairly well now. I'm eager to see what kind of main storyline they intend to use.

As mentioned in a previous thread, Lightbows have been created in the Star Wars universe. Yes it is as stupid as it sounds. Actually it is even more stupid than that. It is used by an armless man that loads and fires it with the Force, and he uses the bolts to deflect blaster bolts, because he is a bodygaurd. Yes, it is that stupid.
No, they haven't, as stated in the aforementioned thread it's fanfluff, which is non-canon.

This looks good, I've never seen the cartoon because... well, it's a cartoon, but this looks like it could have promise.

Dude, the Clone Wars cartoon *rules*. Beats the shit out of those hilariously bad 'prequels' some guy made. :D From what we've seen, this is very similar simply a different style. With spongecake beards!

Yeah, from what we've seen I preferred the old style. As someone said...new one looks like cutscenes from years ago.

I love the smell of September in the morning. Once we got off at Richmond, walked up to the 'G, and there was no game on. Not one footballer in sight. But that cut grass smell, spring rain...it smelt like victory.

I agree, not only was the cel-shade version better, yes, there was some really wierd shit (Duringe picking up an AT-TE, an ARC blowing holes through a Tank from the inside where dozens of his buddies couldn't scratch it from outside, Mace FUCKING BADASS Windu), but it was really fun, very fast paced and it helps prove that hack of a writer wrong.

Digital animation, not cell-shading. Cell shading is computer animation that has additional polygonal or rendering properties (or something, I'm not going to bother looking the exact difference up). The Clone Wars series was just ordinary digital cell animation.

Well... if I was building a massive superlaser to go on my proto-DeathStar, I'd want to know the damn thing was gonna work. So, placing one of those on a starship as a proof-of-concept does make sense.

It also ties into the Eclipse and the Sovereign battleship/dreadnaughts from the Dark Empire saga, which had massive anti-ship superlasers. It makes them less of a new concept and more of a fall back to something Palpatine'd been working on before.

So is this proto-superlaser the prototype of the "Ultimate Weapon" alluded to by Poggle the Lesser? It'd be really cool if it was.

Can anyone figure out who dueled Dooku? Was it Anakin (blue-lightsaber)? It would be interesting to see how Anakin handles Dooku 1 vs 1 before ROTS.

I think that the CIS may have constructed a proto-Death Star that we saw in Ep II rather than stuck the Super Laser on the ship.

Is there anything in CW sources that indicates the CIS were constructing the weapon? Someone mentioned this for either "Labyrinth of Evil" or "Reversal of Fortune" but Wookieepedia claims they never begun constructing it.

I think the CIS made a proto Death Star which blows ships up in the trailer - and if so, it's very cool. :)

The moment with AT-TEs climbing was good. Shows that "all-terrain" doesn't just mean "stoopid lumbering machine".

AOTC says "If they find ut what we are building, we are doomed" or something like that.

And IIRC, Bevel Lemisk is mentioned working with the Geonosians and with the DS prototype...

Quote on the Bevel Lemisk? Was it book or site based? I can't remember anything in the books where Bevel Lemisk is discussed.

In the end, it doesn't matter if the CIS beginning construction on the Great Weapon is documented in established EU or not. The TV Show can do whatever it wants.

Hopefully we get to see the giant Mandator II in action. I'd really like to see one tear a CIS fleet to pieces. I've also got high hopes for some serious Venator action.

Well from the looks of the trailer they'll be following the same one in the Cartoon Network Clone Wars cartoons, just with a lot more detail about what was really going on. The series will probably end with the beginning of the Battle of Coruscant from Ep III.

Ugh. Those character models look ugly. Everything else was fine, why'd they have to make the models so damned ugly? Why?! Argh!

Honestly, I'm not expecting anything out of this other than lots of "blow shit up!" epsidoes. So far it seems to make good on that promise.

Damn straight. Screw this "T canon" bullshit. This coming from the same donkey fuckers who want to legitimize "Glove Of Darth Vader" and the third Death Star.
