THE CREATION MUSEUM, a $27-million tourist attraction promoting earth science theories that were popular when Columbus set sail, opens near Cincinnati on Memorial Day. So before the first visitor risks succumbing to the museum's animatronic balderdash — dinosaurs and humans actually coexisted! the Grand Canyon was carved by the great flood described in Genesis! — we'd like to clear up a few things: "The Flintstones" is a cartoon, not a documentary. Fred and Wilma? Those woolly mammoth vacuum cleaners? All make-believe.

I haven't visited it yet, but according to reports, its exhibits are highly engaging, even if their cumulative effect can be disorienting. Walk into this museum and you'll come upon a diorama of humans frolicking alongside dinosaurs, a video arguing that the Grand Canyon was carved out of the landscape in just a few days and fossils presented as the remainders of Noah's flood. Not one of these depictions is accurate, according to modern science.

The creationist museum is actually close enough for me to vist in person, and I'm highly tempted to do so except for three good reasons.
One, it's over a two hour drive, at current gas prices in my car that's roughly 14$ worth of gas right there. Second it's 19.99$ for adult admission add in me buying something from the gift shop(Maybe ) and your talking about spending roughly 50$ on a museum trip, while I can see your typical air and space museum, or natural history museum for roughly 10$ counting a five dollar donation and a handy bus route. Since all normal museums are close to one company's bus route or another.
Still I plan on heading out there with my digital camera in the next week or so, putting aside the museum itself anyone want picy's of anything in particular?
Gotta get a picture of that display of humans and dino's playing togther.
Damn is so sad they spent 27-million dollars on this affront to reason and logic.
