I need help with a gaming rig
Alright, here's the deal, I recently sold one of my cars, and got myself some disposable income. I've been needing a new pc for the longest, and I've decided to build one myself. Problem is, I have no idea where to start. I have no clue what parts to buy, what brands are better than other brands, and I sure as hell don't know how to configure the thing once I've built it. If anyone has any advice, or better yet, a detailed parts list with the specs for the parts I need, I'd appreciate any help you guys are willing to offer.

If you have no idea and just want a good computer, you'd be best off going to a local computer shop that builds custom PCs and talking to them about it. If that's too much hassle just pay the premium and go for a Falcon Northwest or similar.Crazy Immortal Samurai wrote:Problem is, I have no idea where to start. If you seriously want to learn about how modern PCs are put together and configured, you have several straight days of reading online guides, followed by hundreds of component reviews, ahead of you.

In any case you'll find huge amount of useful material, including literally hundreds of people asking the exact same question, somewhere like here.Crazy Immortal Samurai wrote:Um, I live in Alabama. there isn't that big of a pc gaming market here. the closest thing we have is pc salvage shops.
