What's the Story - Pello Scambras

Post by Mange »

I thought this was quite funny. The latest What's the Story entry (about the older Alderaanian trooper who can be seen onboard the Tantive IV in ANH) which was approved and inserted included this little gem...
With the start of the Clone Wars, Scambras, now a sergeant, had been told to expect limited action. His superior officers dismissed the war against the Separatists as a mere "brush fire" that the clones alone would easily handle. Those in the Core were expected to be insulated from the worst of the fighting. Scambras knew better.

The wars engulfed the entire galaxy, and even the greatest worlds of the Republic were not safe. Alderaan was even threatened by droid forces multiple times, especially after the fall of Duro
I must say that it was very clever. I love it! :D

:D

That's a nice jab, very classy done. I assume that the WTS entries will come more individually from now on? I recall seeing one or two other entries being added without having a big update along with them.

Yea they are doing it more individually, but at the same time they appear to half-ass it now. They allow submissions to continue until the closing date, but now they already have picked the winner by that point. It seems silly to have already picked a winner when there are still submissions coming in, unless they do it randomly now...

Still that is quite the gem. :D

I'd love to see the look on Dark Moose's face when he reads that, assuming he's clever enough to pick up on it.

haha......nice reference to Alderaan being owned by the CIS

"Alderaan was even threatened by droid forces multiple times, especially after the fall of Duro"

And this coul be intrepreted to go against Traviss:

"His superior officers dismissed the war against the Separatists as a mere "brush fire" that the clones alone would easily handle."
