Self-deprecating racism

Post by defanatic »

I know racism is politically incorrect, but what about self-deprecating racism? Making fun of one's own race for humorous effect.

I have no problem making fun of any race, once it's established it's only in fun and I have no problem being made fun of in return.

Personally, I dislike the inclination of people to walk on egg shells in regards to race, or expect others to do so in regards to theirs.

Maybe a bit more definition, defanatic? Like when black people tell jokes about how lazy black people are? O rI'll joke about myself (Jewish) being cheap?
Something about Libertarianism always bothered me. Then one day, I realized what it was:
Libertarian philosophy can be boiled down to the phrase, "Work Will Make You Free."

In Libertarianism, there is no Government, so the Bosses are free to exploit the Workers.
In Communism, there is no Government, so the Workers are free to exploit the Bosses.
So in Libertarianism, man exploits man, but in Communism, its the other way around!

If all you want to do is have some harmless, mindless fun, go H3RE INST3ADZ0RZ!!
Grrr! Fight my Brute, you pansy!

I know racism is politically incorrect
Politically incorrect? It's only politically incorrect in the same way theft is politically incorrect. Both are unethical behaviors. Most people don't describe those things as politically incorrect.

Of course, no racist joke is unethical as long as it's in jest, whether directed at one's own race or at someone else's.
"If one needed proof that a guitar was more than wood and string, that a song was more than notes and words, and that a man could be more than a name and a few faded pictures, then Robert Johnson’s recordings were all one could ask for."
