Hey, I'm not just one Space Furrie, I have:
Wolf People
Cat People
Dragon People
Mini Giraffe People
And two Heavy-G Round squat races of kick ass in a can.
And Already I wish to Bestow a peace offering to the Space Bears and Catgirls in Spaaaaace!
Praying is another way of doing nothing helpful

Oooh mass responses here we go. probably not getting the quote tags working properly though:
Hawkwings.
That being said, another catgirl nation? What's going on here?
I started writing the kingdom before anyone put an OoB up so nyah...
Starglider.
But are they Space Pirate Amazon Ninja Catgirls?
Catgirls in spaaaace is always good of course, we must team up and destroy those ugly hairless humans.
*chuckling* I've seen that link before but four out of five aint bad, we're just not particularly piratey. Ugly hairless humans make good pets though i'm sure.

We'll accept your offering, we like the interstellar furry convention.
Aww, that insectoid race would be so much cuter if you hadn't left the wings off. Speaking as a paranoid insecure irresponsible compulsively self-justifying avian race of course.
That new OOB seems to indicate stargates of some variety. Gates, I believe, are banned. Rapid transit at the cost of startup time only sounds fair until you use it to instantly pour through a horde of units.
Practice saying that for when I use my anomaly generators to trap your fleet in a Voyager episode.

Yeah, even if they're own-territory-only they mean that you only need one defence fleet that all your planets can share, even for surprise attacks, which is a little unbalancing (and sucky, no desperate 'we have to hold out until the reinforcements get here! make them pay dearly for every cubic kilometer of space!' narrative). I suppose if they were sufficiently expensive and only one player gets them as a unique gimmick.
They're faster only cause the fleet doesn't have to wait around forming an FTL corridor, the main reason i have them is that civilian ships for the Chamaran empire are in most cases not FTL capable. Plus the gates are on the edge of the system, let us use your surprise attack example. Enemy fleet jumps in, a courier then needs to travel to the gate and transit to Marass, then the fleet there has to thrust to the gate and transfer back. It'll take a while certainly in which the enemy fleet will get up to god knows what, probably knock the stuffing out of the second fleet.
Though if it really is an evil thing then i can spend the points elsewhere.
after some thought: How do i change my Oob? mainly to edit out the bit about gates in the point disposition and holdings and the two entries on gate tech and spend the points on another Shikon, another farcaster and ten points of ground troop bonus to represent neko ninja powah or some such. The two new ships added to first fleet.
Revision 3 of my OOB has been completed. Some rather extensive rewrites have been performed for my faction and forces.

You should be able to edit your original OOB directly.
Oh out of curiousity i noticed other people were spending points on their planets in their OoBs and others were not. I spent 200 points on my home system to be on the safe side and i'm wondering what those points give me?

If you want to have really badass high-tech ships, spend 60 points on each one you can explain it as "super speed thought process high tech" or "Highly trained monkey-gunners who never miss," it doesn't matter.
Yes, this is exactly what I meant. Time to start slaving away on that OOB...

You can spend up to 100 points per planet. These points buy defences that count as double when fighting against an invading fleet. So if you spend 100 points on your homeworld on defences, it takes 200 points just to draw even. All worlds are assumed to have defences strong enough to hold off basic transports.
Speaking as someone who has spent entirely too much time in Ahn'Qiraj, I'm going to have to raze the Empire of the Sun to the ground, and loot the ashes. I'd say it was nothing personal, but it doesn't get muc more presonal than that.
