Debate with a guy who thinks UFOs are a sign of Satan

The video is "UFO In FSX? AMAZING Footage!!", which depicts a UFO at Area 51 in Microsoft Flight Simulator X. I noticed a guy named fatfredzo made a comment here.

GEEWIZZ dosen't any one ask why there are so many camera views of this plane? SATAN isa fallen angelthat can transform hisself into an angel of light. He has decieved the world into believing he dosen't exost. but now this is just more deception. UFO"s started to show up right after Isreal got thier land back in 1948. read your bible

In other words, he said that the "alien spacecraft" are signs of Satan's anger at Israel. I responded with:

So UFOs are signs of Satan? Goddamn creationists taking a text made hundreds of years ago as truth...

Basic stuff, right? Easy to understand, right? Not to this guy!

You honestly have made absolutely no attempt to read ANYTHING on evolution, have you? I've read the Bible practically front to back. And I never said I hate God. I just don't believe in Christianity. However, I loathe people who refuse to read up on evolution and then tout it as false.

You find it a joke that it could take millions, if not billions, of years for creatures to change in order to adapt to new enviornments? Adaptation is a common sense concept. Evolution is simply the continuation of that concept over a long period of time. How is it a joke?

Now, I understand if I may have gotten the basic concept of evolution wrong, but I'm just working off what I know and have inferred of it. Have fun creating your own responses to it. If you find the video on YouTube, feel free to respond to the debate yourself.

It doesn't take millions of years to change.... Neither do speciation require millions of years..... Just something to head off further nonsense.

The problem with arguing science is this.

Dumb it down enough that they can understand it, and they twist and find loopholes to say you're wrong.

Attempt to explain it to the best of your own, meager scientific comprehension, and they think you're bullshitting them as "That isn't evolution" or some other form of attack.

I still haven't gotten the hang of this topic of debate. The most I've had before this was a girl who thought that according to evolution, every primate should have become a human at the same time.

Seriously, that argument was doomed before you started it. You don't need our help to develop your debating style, you need to start from scratch and try to identify which people are worth debating and which people would be a waste of time as they barely reach the intelligence of an amoeba.

I know of very few fundies who even believe in UFOs (Too much "science" invovled in that, and besides God would never let us pollute other beings with Sin), let alone attribute them to Satan.

I find it more fun to watch his responses. I want to see how far he goes before he starts going all fire & brimstone and quoting scripture. Of course, it's hardly as bad as my best friend's mother. She went from "Jesus wouldn't do that," when her kids wouldn't clean their rooms to "God will strike you down!". Now she's one of those people who honestly believe that Jesus was perfect and completely without sin or wrongdoing, and that if she goes to church four days a week her house will magically fix itself.

It makes a bent sort of sense, if you buy the basic fundie view of the world ( which of course is batshit insane in itself ); I understand it's not that odd a belief among them. That's because UFOs aren't part of science, so they don't have any need to explain it away. If and when there is evidence for extra-terrestrials, then you will have tons of these loons screaming they are satanic, and other tons trying to sound scientific while saying the same thing. For now, most of them point to science when it comes to UFOs, but that doesn't mean they will not do a U-turn once that science starts to disagree with their world-view.

Yes, I have encountered these lunatics before. You debate them for the entertainment value, because they only offer reversed target practice (because of the low standard, you will get stupider if you try to debate them rationally).

Yep. Now he thinks that people who aren't Christian and don't think UFOs are evil are "primative". Now even I'm questioning my judgement in talking to this guy. Of course, I had to respond.

You're simply assuming that you're right because you're a Christian and I'm not. You also need to make yourself easier to understand because your pathetic English is making my eyes bleed. You have not come to any conclusions about evolution. I may not have made my point yet, but neither have you.

Usually I try to restrict any debates I am forced to have with those who at least make the effort to show that they have a functioning brain. Yes, evolution is a "foren" concept, not in any way proven by science! And only a shallow piece of crap could ever spend months on evolution and finally decide that it's correct! So, I follow up with:

I haven't wondered that I'm wrong because I've read up on my subject. I've done experiments and checked conflicting arguements, which were later disproven. All the religious bigots have done is read the basic concept, turned it into a simplified, yet wrong, form, and struck it down while touting their text as truth.

I was telling the truth. I not only did evolution in class, but I also read up on it in my spare time to validate some concepts.

So, the polls are out. Is this guy a sockpuppet, friend, or unrelated?
