New web browser
Ah ... there's nothing like the thrill of browsing the web with a new web browser. I'm using Apple's new Safari, which is based on KHTML (of Konquerer fame). Despite the quirks -- it being a public beta and all -- this is probably going to be my new full-time browser.

Wow, this has the most intelligent cookie-management I've ever seen.
"Accept cookies only from sites I browse to."
Why didn't anyone else think of that, or is it part of Konqerer ... ?

Wow...that feature has been in browsers ever since Netscape released v4.0.

Hm ... I've never seen it. There's only "Accept/Reject All" and sometimes "Accept/Reject Only From These Sites."Vertigo1 wrote:Wow...that feature has been in browsers ever since Netscape released v4.0.
This feature prevents ad sites from planting cookies on your system. I guess if the server address wasn't in the URL bar, it can't plant a cookie on your system.

Mozilla 1.2.1 using the Skypilot Classic theme
IE v6 SP1
I'd show you Netscape, but I don't have that POS installed on my system. My dad has it on his 2k box. I'll post a screencap of it later tonight if I have time.

Mozilla's the best browser I've ever used, but I still use Netscape Messenger 4.79, which is rather utilitarian and suits my needs.

Its been in Mozilla since the beginning.Durandal wrote:Nah, it's not a big deal. I never noticed that feature in Mozilla 1.0, though, which is the build I have.

I started playing around with it since the milestone builds (around M8, IIRC) and switched to it full-time around 0.9.Vertigo1 wrote:Its been in Mozilla since the beginning.Durandal wrote:Nah, it's not a big deal. I never noticed that feature in Mozilla 1.0, though, which is the build I have.
Coincidentially, I switched from NCSA Mosiac to Mosiac Netscape at v0.9

Switched from Idiot Exploiter to Mozilla right when it went to 1.0 and I haven't looked back ever since. Some damn-fool reason my hubby wont touch Moz with a 39-3/4 foot pole! And that's AFTER I graphically showed him what hitting the wrong site with IE can do to a computer (let's just say it shortened that computer's OS life from 2-5 years to something measured in days.)
