Help identify this art program..?

I found this website through a recent thread here: Empire: Oceans Arise.

I like the art, even though the story looks like such a hackneyed, cliche'd recyk job as to be eye-rolling-ly bad. But here's the deal; I'd like to figure out what art program this is and maybe get a copy for my own use,but after going over this website I cannot find any notations as to what media he's using.

Any suggestions?

It really could be anything - lots of programs can do that.

It is some species of 3D modeling program. There are some good ones for free, the high-end ones go for about $3000. Sometimes you can get a student discount.

They do take some time to learn.

Yes, I figured that the galactic cruiser Leif Ericson needed something rugged for planetary exploration. Along with Ark II. I found an artist who let me use his Landmaster computer model. It look nice with my spacecraft model.

Hey Coyote, it could be Bryce (website here.)

The company is actually giving away version 5.5 for free, and you can then upgrade to 6.0 for $20. It's a nice program, too. It's been 8 or 9 years since I used it myself, but I liked it.
