You'd be better off making a list of good games with shitty graphics. I don't think Mr. Wong has that much space reserved for your list.

Yeah, I dislike Rare now, because they decided to leave Nintendo and aid Microsoft in taking control of the video game industry. I loved Goldeneye and Perfect Dark, and they did a couple of other good titles for the N64 too. As for them leaving, I'm sure part of it could be blamed on Nintendo. I would have loved a PDZ, since the GCN needs a solid FPS.DG_Cal_Wright wrote:I bashed the N64 early in it's life, because it had crappy games there were generally $10-$15 more than PSX and Saturn games, for the main reason because they were still on cartridges. Not to mention the graphics on most of the games sucked. However, as mentioned, Shadows of the Empire, Super Smash Brothers, Kirby, the Mario Party titles and a slew of others were actually quite decent.
As far as Perfect Dark Zero. Rare works for X-Box kids. Last I heard, if PD hits a console it will be Microsoft's unit of measures. (Since the controller ways a metric ton!!!)

Actually, I believe Zelda II was the last one chronologically. I believe the timeline goes:anarchistbunny wrote:He made Link like that in OoT because he was pretty much forced to by Nintendo, and he had nothing to do with Majora's Mask(which is pretty obvious, it broke the "each game takes place earlier in time than the previous" trend that make me unsure if he was involved in Link's Awakening.(the first Zelda is the final last one chronologicly)
Ocarina of Time
Majora's Mask
The Wind Waker
A Link to the Past
The Legend of Zelda
Link's Adventure
with Link's Awakening as a side story fitting anywhere.
And I don't understand the current obsession with graphics. So what if Wind Waker is cel-shaded??? BIG FUCKING DEAL. So it looks like a cartoon. Red Mail Link in LttP has hot pink hair. What matters is GAMEPLAY!!! Which is why I still play Super Mario World.

I can't be for certain, but it was partly Nintendo. Either they put Rare up for sale or didn't want to renew any contracts. The Big N is giving themselves the Big Fuck.Asst. Asst. Lt. Cmdr. To me the Zelda timeline is so fucked up. Taking in account the events, then you would have something like this.Darth Yoshi wrote:Actually, I believe Zelda II was the last one chronologically. OoT-Because it resets back to Link's youth. Which makes way for...
The Legend of Zelda - The quest starts anew
Zelda II The Adventures of Link-For very obvious reasons.
The Legend of Zelda A Link to the Past- Yet again a young boy's quest to rescue the fair princess Zelda of Hyrule begins, as he undertakes a journey to find his lost uncle.
The Legend of Zelda Link's Awakening/DX- It's directly after LttP.
This leaves Wind Waker or whatever the fuck they want to call it, and Majora's Mask. To me, by what I know, Wind Waker looks like it might occur before the original, and I would place Majora's Mask in between the orginal and Zelda II. It's some strange ass reasoning but I think I can explain it.
First off, like I said OoT told the story of Link and then reset it. According to that story, Link was orphaned when his mother died running from Ganondorf. In LttP he has an uncle he's staying with. That's a contradiction to itself. so for me, Lttp, LA, and prolly even the Oracle titles would be to me seperate for this reason. So back to OoT. Now we move up, to the trouble spot. Link wouldn't have a sheild or a sword after going back to his time before Ganondorf. Therefore, that makes way for the Legend of Zelda when he gains a sheild and a wooden sword. Majora's Mask could fall in after that since he has his sheild and sword. Zelda II would fall last because he's adult Link. Leaving Wind Waker to move into a slot I would think goes before the original since he goes out exploring. Just don't know how it'll go since he's shown with a sword and sheild. Crazy shit man.

Well, Majora's Mask is around 6 months after OoT according to the intro, and Wind Waker is 100 yrs. after OoT according to Miyamoto. Assuming Hylian generations are identical to human generations, that's three or four generations, which is how long after the Imprisoning War (OoT) LttP takes place. The original Zelda takes place after LttP, since the Triforce and Ganon are back in the Light World.

So then by my timeline if we fit Majora's Mask in, then The Legend of Zelda occurs within six months after OoT. Bah fuck it. There is NO chronological order. They cannot be the same Link. They can't even be the same universe. In Legend of Zelda Ganon has control of a triforce and Zelda. In Zelda II he's dead. So those two go together just fine. In OoT he is trying to obtain the power of the triforce. He gets his ass kicked. He's stuck in the dark relm. That would allow for Majora's Mask to follow. Then like you say, 100yrs or so a wizard is trying to free Ganon from the dark relm. And Link's Awakening is directly after that. Holy shit. Why even try for an order. There's just some hella stories and kick ass classic games. Nuff said.Well, Majora's Mask is around 6 months after OoT according to the intro, and Wind Waker is 100 yrs. after OoT according to Miyamoto.
