Ok saw the movie... seriously the military were dicks.

"Hey lets take the fight scene away from the desert and the military base, to the giant city full of civilians!" "Wow, that's sounds like we are asking for as much collateral damage as possible! You bet your arse we are!"

Not to mention, considering where the fight took place? Are you kidding me? There would have been 300 videos of that fight on Youtube within the hour. :D

On another note
Ok good things, some good fight scene, cool transformers fight, nice transformations, explosions, a Spooky, and air-support.

The Bad, Section-7 the whole damn thing, Megatron shows up way to late in the movie for my tastes, stupid military decision(Hey lets hide in a city full of people!) in the end, compared to outstanding military thinking up to then.

The Funny:DDR/Ebay jokes, so many cheesy one liners I saw coming but still got me laughing.

I never would have thought that the issue of masturbation would be brought up in a Transformers film.

Particularly considering all the parents who took their kids to see the movie... :P

God it was so bad at the theater I went to. Honestly parents, PG-13 is not for little kids.

Oh man, what happned? I gotta know.

Our theatre was pretty well-behaved. Though there was a four-year-old girl next to Uts who occasionally asked her dad what was happening, was a little scared by Ironhide's pool introduction, and pointed out Optimus and said she liked "that one" the best.

Oh, and the high school douch in front of us who pumped his fist whenever something amused him.

Seriously, I had no problem whatsoever following who was who in the final fight or anywhere else. They were all different colours, different shapes, different configurations: just as easy to tell apart as people. So I really don't know what's the problem other than that some people simply didn't bother paying any attention to detail.
Let me put it a better way- I think I was confused because I couldn't remember what vehicles Jazz, Ironhide, or Ratchet were. When I knew the vehicle I could ID the robot; I saw helicopter blades on one robot and instantly knew that was the helicopter Decepticon (Blackout?) from earlier, saw the police car bits and knew that was a Decepticon, and knew Starscream was the fighter jet.

Oh well, some people have said the final battle makes more sense when you see the movie a second time, something I'm already planning for. :)

So how about that "mass-shifting" big ol' cube eh? Man, I love looking back on Don Murphy and his lies. It's hilarious.

"so no mass displacement, huh" was exactly what I was thinking during that scene. ;)

All in all i liked the movie, well done in most respects. The Transformers and the Transformations were well done, battles, use of military hardware were all done well. My only complaint of note was when Frenzy was sneeking about Airforce-One and out of it to. He stuck out like a sore thumb.

However, the decepticons are not dead yet. The following ones are still at large and alive...

-Starscream
-Scorponok

As well, there are the newly created Transformers, the Xbox, Pontiac and the Soda Machine. I did not see what happened to them.

I think it would be pretty obvious to assume them to have been destroyed sometime off-screen. It would be almost ludicrous to think they would reappear in the sequel.

I'm curious as to what happened to Barricade. He got pounded by Bumblebee earlier in the film, though showed up during the Decepticon's "robot role call," was right behind Bonecrusher on the highway, but wasn't seen at all during the city battle. I've seen some remarks that one of his doors was seen on the deck of the ship dumping the remains of the Decepticons into the trench, though I didn't personally catch it.

I don't really like the idea of there being such a continuity error in the film, or that Barricade might have been killed off-screen.

Excellent.

As for Barricade, he may have escaped. Which would be cool as I happen to think Barricade was pretty cool.

"Are you username Ladiesman217!?" was pretty much the perfect piece of cognitive dissonance.

Not to mention the little quote on him in car mode:

Saw it for the second time. The battle was easier to follow: I could tell which Autobots were doing what to Devastator. Also, I definately looked for it specifically and did NOT catch Barricade's remains on the ship at the end. So either I'm blind or he's a survivor.

This movie was amazing. I will go see it again: the mark of a film I thoroughly enjoyed.
"The rest of the poem plays upon that pun. On the contrary, says Catullus, although my verses are soft (molliculi ac parum pudici in line 8, reversing the play on words), they can arouse even limp old men. Should Furius and Aurelius have any remaining doubts about Catullus' virility, he offers to fuck them anally and orally to prove otherwise." - Catullus 16, Wikipedia

Well that actually depends entirely on how much the big cube weighed. If it was just really really damn light that still counts as no mass-shifting.

Except for the fact that that makes no sense whatsoever. For one thing, in the opening of the film, asteroids were seen hitting against it, and the Allspark reacted as if it consisted of the appropriate mass of metal or rock according to its size: it continued on its way rather than getting knocked off into another direction.

Secondly, it might have been totally burnt up or pulverised entering the atmosphere or impacting the Earth if it only weighed a few pounds rather than multiple tons.

Thirdly, if it only weighed a few pounds, then why didn't Sector 7 bother relocating it rather than build Boulder Dam on top of it?

It's just simply more likely that the Allspark did employ mass transfer when folded in upon itself and changed size. And it's not even as if it's grasping at straws, since it's an established technology within the franchise.

When they said no mass shifting, was it everything or only the bots?

Though they might have fudged the truth in order to keep the cube a secret.

I was looking at the descriptions for the new toys, and the one for Starscream emphasized his treacherous nature and desire to overthrow Megatron. I think it`s pretty sure that he did in fact fire on him.

Having your back story on toy boxes and lame prequel comics is kinda bad.

Why? G-1 boxes had the same things on back, including a 'power matrix' so you could compare who was stronger/faster/tougher.

Ah yes... fire off a CD-like shiruken and watch it bounce around the room, coming around to hit yourself in the head. "Oh shit" indeed.
