Our problem...

Post by Mrs Kendall »

.. has just vanished on it's own!
That was freaky, has that ever happened to any of you?

Honestly we both just gave up trying to get rid of it as we noticed it wasn't doing anything other than being annoying due to pop ups every once in a while and now it's just gone. vanished, cablooie... :wtf: .

Funny. I've noticed a similar problem with spyware and spam in general vanished for me.

I'm getting less of both. And I mean, massively less. Like, from 50 something e-mails to one a day.

My usual monthly spyware infestations also vanished. Did they start shooting spammers or something?

Our problem was a spyware program that my husband downloaded by accident and all of the sudden one day the pop ups just stopped and the flashing icon in the tool bar is gone as well. Freaky deaky.

This is just the incubation phase. Soon the larva will burst out of your computer's chest. Space it now to save the crew.

That doesn't necessarily mean that it's gone. It could have just started another task after it's finished harassing you with popups.

I dunno about shooting spammers but my spyware infestations have dropped quite a bit since I started running SpywareBlaster in the background, which Edi recommended. That along with regular sweeps with Ad Aware and Spybot Search and Destroy have keep us pretty clean.
