Which Middle-Eastern Coutry would you rather
Listening to a radio show recently and heard the host make an interesting propisition to a nutcase. Because the Nut didn't trust the U.S. Government he offered to pay for the costs for him to move to Iraq.
Now suppose the offer was extened to you, and instead of Iraq it was middle eastern country, which would you choose and why?
P.S. I kept Turkey out because it is trying to become European, not middle eastern.

See I wouldn't move to iraq precisely because I don't trust the US Government...Straha wrote:Listening to a radio show recently and heard the host make an interesting propisition to a nutcase. Because the Nut didn't trust the U.S. Government he offered to pay for the costs for him to move to Iraq.

Israel or Kuwait. I would briefly consider protesting in Israel, then remember the recent price drop on lead-based reconstructive surgery that has occured there in the last year.

I would move to Saudi Arabia. I've lived there, in Israel, and Kuwait. Saudi Arabia was my favorite.

Qatar is actually really friendly to foriegners, as friendly as you can expect, and are used to Americans, British, et cetera. They are also distinctly aware that because of their large natural gas reserves that they sell to America and Britian, if they get threatened by their neighbors, America will show up to fight for "democracy" in a hurry, so they have good relations with us.
Immigrate in israel? I think i would rather swim in a shark infested pool . Think of it, terrorists, hyprocritical and genocidal politicians, and you know the other thing.

Off the list: Israel. I know a couple guys from Jerusalem, and they're really nice people. Since I'm part of the International Students' Association (as one of the American helpers to aid in explaining our weird social customs ), I've been told to travel to France, to Israel, to Oman, even to Colombia for vacations. If I actually had money...
From anywhere in the Middle East, probably Qatar. They're a nice, quiet country (as in nothing news-making happens there often), that likes America and isn't likely to get wrapped up in a war any time soon. I'd still visit Israel just to see the various historical sites (and Saudi Arabia, though those bastards don't let non-Muslims into Mecca).

Why isn’t that ever an issue of politics? Because you don’t live in a democracy. You live in a plutocracy. Money rules.

I know a couple really nice people from Iraq. Doesn't mean the country itself is a nice place to visit. The Dark wrote:Off the list: Israel. I know a couple guys from Jerusalem, and they're really nice people.
