If Gandalf has enougth time to awaken the trees (assuming that can be done on endor) then he will win. Otherwise, probably not.

*Yoda takes out his lightsaber all bad ass like*

*Gandalf the White makes Yoda's lightsaber glow red hot, forcing him to drop it*

*Begins to bitchslap the little midget frog around with his staff*

:D
'Ai! ai!' wailed Legolas. 'A Balrog! A Balrog is come!'
Gimli stared with wide eyes. 'Durin's Bane!' he cried, and letting his axe fall he covered his face.
'A Balrog,' muttered Gandalf. 'Now I understand.' He faltered and leaned heavily on his staff. 'What an evil fortune! And I am already weary.'

well, i dont know about this one, i know jedi a pretty though to beat, but gandalf, especialy gandalf the white is one bad ass dude, i think id have to go with gandalf, while the force is a very powerful thing, wizardry is just a whole different thing, you can manipulate things, hell, you could do almost anything, but its still a tough one to call,

now what if you combined the two.....a short green guy, with long white hair and a white robe...that would be interseting to say the least

Gandalf is barred from using his powers on Yoda, because he is not a Maiar+. Without his magic, all he has is that stick and sword.

I haven't red the books, Can Gandalf make items burn in their owners hand? In the movie's so far he really hasn't done that much magic wise. And can some one explain to me if Gandalf has to have that staff in order to do magic or what because if it is the staff I believe that yoda would be able to just yank it out of Gandalfs hand with the force

*Yoda absorbs the energy like he did with Dooko's force lightning*
It's one thing to absorb Force Lightning (esp. when it's technically not lightning at all) and another to absorb pure heat.
*Yoda uses force moves in AOTC making Gandalf spin in circles, getting dizzy*

*Yoda uses telekinesis to drop a multi-ton boulder on Gandalf's head*

*Yoda force shoves Gandalf off a cliff*
*Gandalf blinds Yoda with his Light trick, disorienting the little frog into a slip and fall acciendent :)*

*Uses his wizard powers to push the boulder away, and possible back on Yoda*

*Uses his wizard powers to push Yoda off first*

For gods sakes people, Gandalf is an Istari! A Maia! He defeated a Balrog, the feared servants of the Dark Lord!

Why? IIRC the only reasons Gandalf didn't use his powers on anybody other then Saruman and Balrog was
1. Every Wraith, Balrog and other bad magic guy would instantly know where he was and start coming.
2. The Valor wanted Middle-Earth to save itself. The Istari were there to guide.

I mean, the only one who could match Gandalf the White in Middle-Earth is Tom, and Sauron.

He did it in the books too.

Page 483, The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers

He [Gandalf] lifted up his staff, and Gimli's axe leaped from his grasp and fell ringing on the ground. The sword of Aragorn, stiff in his motionless hand, blazed with a sudden fire. Legolas gave a great shout and shot an arrow high into the air: it vanished in a flash of flame.

The Istari were sort of demi-gods/angels.....the reason why Gandalf didnt die atop the mountain after the fight with the balrog is because he is actually immortal....
He never demonstrated the full powers that he could have for various reasons, mostly that he was to serve as a guide rather than to go out and win the war himself.....just to counter anything of a big bad mystical nature to keep the playing field at least moderately level.

Actually Gandalf did "die." Just as the Balrog "died." Of course, they weren't really killed, they just lost their physical form. Which they could get back, eventually. Though it took Sauron millenia.

I believe that Radagast had mastery over shapes and hues plus he was the dr. doolittle of his time. Saruman's chief power was in his voice. Other than that I really don't know what they can or can't do.

Alas no. The only times they use their powers are Gandalf the Grey vs Saruman (we only hear Gandalf was captured) Gandalf vs the Balrog of Moria (Gandalf doesn't give a lot of details) Gandalf vs Saruman II (where Gandalf totally overpowers him) and brief moments like when Gandalf scares off the Nazgul (which is quite impressive).

But they are Maiar, like the Balrog and Sauron. Just a different branch.

I have no idea what Radagast had mastery of. Saruman was great at his voice and tricking people. Gandalf has mastery of fire (and he had the Ring of Fire).

1. Not all trees are Ents. Hell, Ents aren't really trees.
2. If this is a full power fight like between him and the Balrog, Yoda would be the one needing Ents. To act as cannon fodder while he ran like crazy.

Like said before, Radagast was like Dr. Doolittle, so much so that he gave up caring for the speaking peoples of Middle Earth.

It's safe to say he could probably call on his animal friends to do some damage :)
