People are silly sometimes. I find that the Clone Wars are probably one of funnerer parts of the EU, and it's General Greivous (and Magnaguards) was about a zillion times better than the lamer in Revenge of the Sith. The Clone Wars cartoon was freaking badass.Stark wrote:Most of the threads I saw were many people saying 'zomg how to rationalise/ignore the things we don't like like Force-fu'. I was pretty stunned: I thought the higher power levels were pretty awesome.
And quite frankly, people complaining about the Force powers displayed in a medium at the very bottom of the canon heirarchy really need to take a step back for a moment. I mean, do they complain about LEGO Star Wars or something, and its treatment of, well, everything?
What is Project Zohar?
Here's to a certain mostly harmless nutcase.

What do you mean, "very bottom"? The Clone Wars cartoons are just as much C-canon as any other EU material.Ford Prefect wrote:People are silly sometimes. You know what. Fuck canon and upper/lower level power bullshit. I want the game to be FUN!! If that means crashing SDs with the Force then so be it.
And so what if the Jedi in the CW series are wanked compared to the movies. The Jedi in the prequels are wanked compared to the originals.
Side note: I am friends with one of the producers of the game, but the last time I talked to him was before they pushed back the release date. I have no idea why I haven't been on him for info.
Side side note: The last time we were talking we got on the EU and writers. Guess who he said he liked? I almost punched him. I then yelled at him for like 30 minutes about all her DUMBASSED BS and demanded he "rethink" his position on the matter.
In his defense he didn't know about her 3 million clone argument and just thought that she meant one army of clones was 3 mill. Not the ENTIRE ARMY. His reply? "3 Million people died in WWII!"
So while not a convert so to speak, I at least opened his eyes to this Travissty.

It's 106 miles to Chicago, we got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark... and we're wearing sunglasses.
Hit it.

He's talking about me getting my knickers in a knot over fantastical nonsense in a game we'll all ignore anyway because it's so hugely contradicted elsewhere.Mange wrote:What do you mean, "very bottom"? The Clone Wars cartoons are just as much C-canon as any other EU material.
But I *LIKE IT* dammit.

haaaaay, that game rocked! back when i was eleven me an my friends were all "lets play some galactic battlegrounds over our 56k modems dude" and it was all awesome.Stark wrote:Age of Star Wars?
Oh god I loved that game so much, and it's so bad. I played the hell out of it. Hours and hours... Well, that's one more cornerstone of my childhood gone.
At least I'll always have Starcraft.
Wait....
oh god.
Right. My apologies. However, certain elements of games (excluding game mechanics of course) are C-canon. Besides, George Lucas seems to have been more involved in this compared with other productions lately.havokeff wrote:He means video games, not the cartoons.Mange wrote:What do you mean, "very bottom"? So I get to play a DBZ juiced Dark Jedi fighting the Empire, yet trying to remain secret from wrinkle pooh? Cool, when do I get to fly instead of walking around if I can manipulate that much TK?

There is no "canon heirarchy." It's either canon, or it ain't.Ford Prefect wrote:And quite frankly, people complaining about the Force powers displayed in a medium at the very bottom of the canon heirarchy really need to take a step back for a moment. We'll be getting both a novel and comic adaptation for this, incidentally, so I expect those'll clear up some issues. Or introduce more, as the case may be.

No, but the prevalent thought is it really is either canon or not. The difference is whether canon source is superior to others.Ford Prefect wrote:Maybe things have changed, but once upon a time there was. You know, G-canon, C-canon and all that jazz? Or has that been somehow removed?000 wrote: There is no "canon heirarchy." It's either canon, or it ain't.
And Schatten, when making a spam post do it correctly, dumbfuck.

Force Unleashed, due to massive demand, is now being developed for PC as well, according to the website.
