Which Turok gun should be included in the new game?

Post by Darth Ruinus »

Not sure how many of you guys remember Turok, or even played it, but if you have, which gun do you want to see in the upcoming game?

I would like to see the PSG and the Cerebral Bore, so I can see what a brain drilling mini-missle looks like on a PS3.

There's a new Turok game? That series is actually popular enough to spawn another one? Wow.

The only one I can really remember well is the cerebral bore, so that one, obviously. I always kind of liked the Tek Bow because of the recoverable arrows, but I don't know if it's really worth putting in a new game.

Yeah, you can see the video for it at GameVideos.com

You can see a type of bow, but not anything to make us beleive its got that explosive arrows.

Yeah, the franchise was pissed on after Evolution, maybe even after #3.

Huh. That's just funny.

I always had a blast with that bow and the weaker enemies. *thunk* "Ah, my head!" Hahah. Oh, man.

I definintly lost interest after the second, so if there's a point where it went downhill for me the third one would be it.

I only remember Turok for sucking and having levels that were way too large with far too few save points. Also the bosses were totally obnoxious and playing an FPS with a gamepad is like writing a love letter in crayon with your off hand.

So in answer to the query, which weapon should they keep, probably the cerebral bore because it eliminated the need to aim with the clumsy gamepad and actually fun to use the first couple times, after which it was no longer impressive.

I meant console controllers in general, which are unforgivably clumsy compared to the mouse and keyboard.

Cerebral bore, of course. What weapon could be more brutal, more over-the-top than one that drills into your enemy's skull and then explodes?

There are people who still play Turok games?
Wow...I figured the series had died a well-deserved death years ago. The games were horrible from the start - especially those damn beetles that they put in areas where you couldn't SEE them.
