They say, "the tree of liberty must be watered with the blood of tyrants and patriots." I suppose it never occurred to them that they are the tyrants, not the patriots. Those weapons are not being used to fight some kind of tyranny; they are bringing them to an event where people are getting together to talk. -Mike Wong
But as far as board culture in general, I do think that young male overaggression is a contributing factor to the general atmosphere of hostility. It's not SOS and the Mess throwing hand grenades all over the forum- Red

Guys guys guys, It's Coquitlammmm with an m. And yeah it probably has something to do with the fact that well around here in Ontario we don't even have 7-11's much anymore, they're all Mac's.Ma Deuce wrote:Eh? As far as I can tell by clicking on the link for the specific store on the 7-Eleven website, there is only a single Kwik-E-Mart in BC, located in Coquitlan, which is a small suburban city bordering Vancouver, and is often considered to be part of Vancouver itself (probably why both citys' names were included in the link).Darth Wong wrote:Goddammit, this is NOT fair! According to the 7-11 website, there are two Kwik-E-Marts in Canada, and they're both in BC! One's in Vancouver, and one's in Coquitlan. Toronto is the largest fucking city in the entire country by a country mile! Why don't we get one? Why does BC get both of them? Where the fuck is Coquitlan anyway? What does that word even mean? It sounds like something Native Americans use to wipe themselves.
Um, there are plenty of 7-Elevens in Ontario, but they're mostly confined to the urban areas. Small town or suburban convenience stores tend to be Mac's (or in the past Becker's, which has since been taken over by Mac's)Mrs Kendall wrote:Guys guys guys, It's Coquitlammmm with an m. That's weird, I don't ever recall seeing any in Ottawa. But I only go downtown and the east side of the city.Ma Deuce wrote: Um, there are plenty of 7-Elevens in Ontario, but they're mostly confined to the urban areas. Well, it's Coquitlam (lived there for many years), but yes, it's a suburban city in the GVRD, roughly equivalent to Oakville in size and distance from downtown.Ma Deuce wrote:Eh? And, yes, it sucks ass that we didn't get one here. At least it would have made sense if they put them all in Springfields.
Edit: missed Mrs Kendall's m correction

Is that the same as calling Park City, Utah a suburb of Salt Lake City? I've seen Provo called a suburb of Salt Lake even.AnimeJet wrote:Oh there's one in mountain view... wtf that's not san francisco, god damnit i hate when people use SF as a synonym for all of the bay area.

Sounds about right, Park City is a 3 hour drive over a mountain pass from Salt Lake and Provo is South in a different valley.AnimeJet wrote:i'm not sure, it' a good hours drive from SF, an there's no way someone like me can get there on a whiem ~_~. Trust me, they're there: I used to live in a town the same distance from Ottawa as Renfrew (Prescott, located near the south end of Highway 416), and I have seen them during my trips into the city. There are only about a half-dozen stores in the entire city though, and few to none in the surrounding exurbs.Cpl Kendall wrote:That's weird, I don't ever recall seeing any in Ottawa. That really is stupid because they've had ads about this on the radio too.Guy on another forum thinks that not watching TV is an excuse to immediatly claim that it's an isolated store in the middle of the country made up by a desperate 7-11 owner who's ripping off the show to sell his wares.
There's a 7-Eleven a couple towns from where I live and I can get to it by bus. I kind of want to go over there this weekend, since it might be the last chance to see this.
Also, I hope that image of Jasper in the freezer has the note he pinned to himself on it.
For the glory of Gondor, I sack this here concession stand!

We don't have a Kwik-E-Mart in Edmonton, but the 7-11 by my house had those pink donuts.
Disgusting. I had them fresh at 4:30AM, just walked in when they were delivered. The pink icing is like a pound of sugar. I could barely finish one, and I had an upset stomach after I woke up 4 hours later.
