Quotl Vs Modern Earth

the Quatol instead of landing on aio, land in South America, and manages to quickly Subjugate it, with plans on doing the same to the rest of the world. can the rest of the modern world retake the South American continent, with out heavliy nukeing it, or will we bow down to the quotl gods?

The Cuotl honestly don't make any sense. They're an advanced alien species that has stuff like black hole weapons ... yet armies made up of steam-powered warmachines can be competetive. At best the Vinci are comparable to the powers of World War II, excepting their enormous spier-robots.

The Wiki page might as well been Instruction manual with a point of fluff.
