What kind of gear would work with it? Its got too much weight behind the main gear for a tricycle type. its flight characteristics might be better with a non-FSW to keep it from being so tailheavy.

It looks cool, but horribly impractical. The wings seem too short to permitt a sensible takeoff speed and there's no obvious reason to forward-sweep them. Similarly the pointy nose and fighter style cockpit seems rather superfluous on a mid-to-low subsonic aircraft. Plus those counter-rotating props are going to make a hell of a lot of noise. But it might be a fun air-racing aircraft.
