Ah, that explains it. He uses that to get out of a Sector 7 trap in this Target comic they gave out at the theater, and I was wondering what the heck just happened.SylasGaunt wrote:All the car panels on Bumblebee's body are solar collectors that store a charge for his weapon.

Goddamn, that was awesome. Easily the best film I've seen this year.
Favourite part: "One shall stand, one shall fall."
Starscream should have had a larger part IMO, but I guess he'll probably be the central villian in the sequel.

It's for putting people out of their misery.SylasGaunt wrote:Some information in the guide is off though since it describes Ratchet as being unarmed aside from using his medical implements as weapons like the saws. Granted it could be fully accurate but if so I really want to know what that gun he was using in the final battle is supposed to fix.

No, Megatron. You can't have Starscream as a main villain, that would suck. They introduced Megatron at the end of the first movie, that naturally leads to him being brough back in the second. He'll be retreived from the abyss, for sure.

Prime's still got a fragment. It'll likely be used to repair Jazz and one of the Decepticons will steal it and use it on Megatron. Possibly Frenzy too.

I wonder if a reborn Megatron would then use the Allspark fragment to eek out a Constructacon or five...

Yeah, it was the Allspark. Megatron's spark doesn't matter, the Allspark can turn lifeless machines into transformers.

But how do we know it will be the same Megatron Is it the spark that defines the being or the body?Vympel wrote:Yeah, it was the Allspark. Megatron's spark doesn't matter, the Allspark can turn lifeless machines into transformers.

I'm not writing the thing, but if I were writing it, I'd just say that Megatron's spark joined with the All-Spark and it's in the Spark fragment. Jazz would be SOL.neoolong wrote:Then if Jazz comes back, is it really Jazz?
I'm under the impression that the spark is the identity. Like Starscream's spark taking over Waspinator's body in Beast Wars.

I liked Jazz even though he was Bumblebee ...d. It'd be a shame if he was as stated permanently fucked (the toys apparently say otherwise, not sure how that's going to work out) - he put on an impressive show fighting Devastator/Brawl, even though him vs Megatron was the Worst Mismatch Ever.
I wonder - what do the Transformers do about ammunition for their machine guns?
Also, another thing I noticed - did Bumblebee have multi-pack rocket launchers that he was using to fight Devastator/Brawl after he got his legs blown off?
Finally - were the Special Forces dudes simply not paying attention when Ironhide said "It's Starscream!!!" and started trying to create cover?

Seemingly their large-caliber MGs never ran out during the movie, even if the fight apparently went on for several minutes with intense shooting. I guess they transform energy into matter if they have enough of it, like when Frenzy "charged up" from the energon Cube.I wonder - what do the Transformers do about ammunition for their machine guns?

I'm surprised they didn't use the proverbial "gun on the wall" and repair Bumblebee's legs with some Allspark magic.

If I recall the cartoon well enough, that is the case, and they can even run out of power entirely and just go into a comatose state without power.Stas Bush wrote:Seemingly their large-caliber MGs never ran out during the movie, even if the fight apparently went on for several minutes with intense shooting. They could be using materials from around them to replenish their projectile weapons. I don't know what powers them, only it's likely nuclear fusion at the end which, with the spark, produces a powered and intelligent machine. Most of the Transformers had projectile and energy weapons, as Blackout started his opening attack with a very heavy auto-cannon and used the wave weapon for wider damage (he is shown taking pot shots at Ironhide with a pulse weapon like Megs' basic hand cannon just before he does a back-flip transformation and flies over Sam's head).
Course, they could have a way of condensing energy into matter which they use for body repairs too, but it takes a lot of time and energy to utilise, hence the Transformers being KO'd at points and coming back perfectly okay later on. Like I say, if Barricade's anything to go by, I expect Blackout et al would have come back, though Jazz may have been taken out entirely because his spark was lost after being curbstomped by Megs. Being stuck at the bottom of the world's deepest trench will be a tad inconvenient.
If anything, Megs should come back from that Allspark fragment with the whole infusion idea, which could be rationalised as what gives life can also take it back.
And yeah, Bumblebee sprouted multiple-tube missile launchers on his shoulders when taking down "that tank thing", to quote an officer. All his cannon and missile shots were hitting Brawl/Devastator square on for the best part of a minute.

I thought they were wondering what the hell Ironhide was doing. Did they even know that Starscream was the name of a Decepticon at that point? I don't remember.Vympel wrote:Finally - were the Special Forces dudes simply not paying attention when Ironhide said "It's Starscream!!!" and started trying to create cover?

I just watched it an hour ago. The SF guys planted the smoke and signaled the F-22 (Starscream) and only when he was coming in for his strafing run did Ironhide and the guys go 'It's Starscream!' and use that truck as a shield.
Oh, and when the Autobots were assembling on that building in the desert, Prime says that he'd destroy the Allspark by shoving it in his chest. One of the other 'bots said something like "It can/could destroy you", not "WILL destroy you", implying that a spark-Allspark fusion might not always result in death.

Did everyone here fail math? The ending was a huge lie a that you're suppose to see through. Think about it, on one hand they're telling us that the defeated decipticons were dropped into the abyss and sector 7 was disbanded and yet litereally two minutes later they're sacrastically telling us about how much we can trust the government.
I'm suprised that I'm the first one to point this out. Don't take things at face value, espically from a franchise who's guiding theme is "More then meets the eye".
