It happens. I did it once and asked every mod and admin to un-ban me and I was halfway through a campaign to tell everyone to get me unbanned on ICQ before I found I had changed my email.

FYI SB.com has been forced to temporarily disable new registrations. This is because there was a particular member who finally pissed off the mods enough that she was banned. The problem was she stated that if she were banned, she WOULD be back. After something like 20+ attempts to get around the ban in a single day by creating new accounts, Tron locked the registrations for the imediate future.

The only way to get into SB is with old accounts. I voluntered my secondary account for Master_Ossus to use temporarily so that he could defend himself. If anyone has secondary accounts or the likes, might want to try using them.

Why don't they use admin-registration? There's an option on phpBB where you can set registrations so anyone can register but the admin has to manually approve each new member before they can post. Surely vBulletin has this feature too, since it's $ware as opposed to freeware.

You should get an e-mail pretty quickly, from my experience it is usually a few minutes but I don't know given this new clampdown on new users, it may have slowed verification down or something.

I think that they fear this idiot to flood them with hundreds of new user registration requests per day. Though I will field this idea with Kier and Tron (the SB Admins).
