First Wii Ware DLC is out

Post by Xisiqomelir »

Hey fellow ninthings, the first piece of content on the Wii Ware initiative is out. It's a new Metroid Prime 3 trailer, and worth checking out.

Intarwebz version for those with disconnected Wiis

Oh snap, Virtual Console Metroid on the 13th and Super Metroid on the 20th, then Metroid Prime 3 on the 27th?

That's how you do it, Nintendo!

That video is a lie.

Everyone in Australia knows it takes long enough to make a coffee and drink it to connect to the Shopping Channel. Maybe longer. That's IF it doesn't lock your Wii and force you to cycle the power and make another coffee.

Otherwise, cool. :D

I unfortunately do not have a wii, but I do want that game.

Ya' know, if Halo can get an RTS, why can't metroid? The space pirates are varied enough.

I was getting it anyway, but it's reassuring to see how fluid the controls appear to be.

VC Metroid is already out. Or at least it is here.

Though it's not a terribly good buy for me, as I can already play Metroid as I've got it unlocked on my Prime save. (all the really good games on the VC seem to suffer from this, I wouldn't consider Ocarina of Time for it, as the version with Wind Waker is significantly enhanced.)

That's 'cause you guys in Europe (oh yeah, and Australia) get VC updates on Fridays, while in the US it's the following Monday. Exact contents details of each update often vary, but usually we get the same "big" stuff at roughly the same time.

EDIT: Oh I see, you guys got Metroid back on 20 July. I guess they decided not to tie it in over there.

I want to see a Metroid FPS spinoff after Prime 3. Space Marines vs Space Pirates in 32-player online deathmatches. Take the weapon sets from Hunters.

God yes. And it should have a decenter health system than the 99 "energy points", because that system utterly sucked in the multiplayer aspect of MP2.

Hunters really showed that you can do Metroid without Samus. Even though they all got killed, I was hoping Corruption would at least have Hunters-parity multiplayer.
