That was absolute pwnage, pure and simple.
SCO will of course appeal, and this is far from over, but it will be interesting to see the outcome now of IBM's numerous counterclaims against SCO.
Another interesting aspect of this is the huge blow this will of course deal to any remaining SCO credibility. Potential creditors and investors will likely be wary of financing additional litigation. I suspect that SCO, in its current incarnation, at this moment is doomed, if for no other reason than its financial position is already quite shaky, and it is now dramatically less likely of finding anyone who wants to continue to bankroll its lawsuits.
IMO at this point, if Darl McBride has any sense at all, he'll put the company into Chapter 11 protection, to shield it from the raft of lawsuits that could well follow.
