Stuntman: Ignition

Post by chitoryu12 »

Is anyone considering buying this? I loved the first game, and it looks like this one fixed pretty much all the problems.

I am a bit confused by an early review by Official Xbox Magazine. They said that it "Didn't look like an Xbox 360 game." I personally disagree. Any thoughts on it?

I've been playing the demo. What I don't like is that the tracks are PURE trial and error. If they gave you a better run through of the entire goddamn course before dropping you into it the game would be about a thousand times better.

Well, there always is Easy mode. Not only do you get extra strikes before you fail, you can still continue with your run so you can see the rest of the track.

That's still a bullshit copout.

Give me the full play-by-play breakdown and walkthrough of the course before I have to do it.

Honestly, it doesn't seem like it's worth more than a rental. If you could make your own levels, or there were some sort of sandbox mode, that might be worth something, but the game has gone so far into the "YOU MUST DO WHAT THE DEVS WANT TO WIN" it's not even funny. The amount of actual player input and flair seems to be excessively minimal. It's like a rail shooter for racing games.

What I want is the next Flatout game but I don't know if it is strictly Xbox360 or is it available for PC also like Flatout 1&2.

Sorry for the necro, but they just revealed the stunt constructor mode. I'll dig up the video I found of it, but basically, you can use the props -- which now include things like raised platforms, AI driven cars, timed explosives, small huts, and building facades -- to build your own stunt course, including placing stunt markers for the standard "Drive close to object" or "Do a 180" type stunts.
