That's way too much bullshit to waste my precious time sifting through. If I had a nickle for every fundie with a website, I could afford a whole sector fleet of LEGO ISDs.

In order to fit the YEC model into the evidecne provided by radiostratigraphy, they have to change the law of physics for prediluvian times.

In other words, it's crap.

evolutionary scientist
I thought all scientists were evolutionary, or at least, the ones that take science seriously... Is this some obscure smoke screen to make credulous people believe there are "true" creationist scientists?

How does a evolutionary scientist know how old a dinosaur fossil is? He will go to his geologic column chart, look up dinosaurs and tell you the fossil is anywhere from 64 to 240 million years old. How does an evolutionary scientist know how old a particular layer of sedimentary rock is? He would find out what type of fossils are in the sediment. Suppose it was the "red beds of Great Britain" which contain billions of fossil fish. He again goes to his geologic column chart and looks up the age where fishes supposedly evolved. His chart indicates that fishes evolved 350 to 400 million years ago in the "Devonian Age". The sediments then are called Devonian with an age of 350 to 400 million years.
Erm. No.

When a paleontologist finds a new dinosaur deposit, he will find volcanic deposits above and below it and get a geologist to take samples. These will then go to a lab where they will be radiometrically dated by a physicist. Every time this occurs, the same results are seen.

Also, using this guys methodology, if a fish bone is found in the 'evolutionary scientists' back yard, he looks it up on his chart, sees his chart indicates that fishes evolved 350 to 400 million years ago in the "Devonian Age". The back yard is are called Devonian with an age of 350 to 400 million years.

Just a little simplistic, don't ya think?

I do, of course, use radiometric dating, which is flawed according to this page. The author ignores the fact that radioactive decay is goeverned by forces that, if different to how they are would make a significant difference to the universe. Hey! I have just thought, Creationsts use the strength of these forces as evidence that there is design in the universe! If they were designed that way, then the design couldn't change without invalidating their designer hypothesis.

Also, radiometric dating involves many different types of tests. If they all give the same result, despite differing decay rates then the results are sound.

He also ignores fission track dating, which is counting the numbe of uranium atoms that decay by looking at zircon crystals. these give the same dates, back to a few million years (after that, there are too many to count individually, so they can only be dated as 'older').
Assumptions Based on Evolutionary Bias

1. The rate of formation of carbon 14 in the upper atmosphere has been constant.

2. The amount of carbon 14 entering the food chain has been constant.

3. The rate of decay from carbon 14 to ordinary carbon has been constant.
This is a lie. These are not the assumptions. The amount of C14 is not assumed to be constant.

The book of Job chapter 40 v 15-24 describes a creature called Behemoth. Reading the description reveals he has a tail like a cedar tree and legs like pillars of bronze. Footnotes in various Bibles suggest this might be a hippo or an elephant however neither have tails like a cedar tree. A straightforward analysis reveals the Bible describing a giant sauropod dinosaur. Job chapter 41 describes the leviathan. The description is astounding. In verse 7 man is unable to penetrate its skin with iron spears. Verse 14 says its teeth are large and fierce looking. Verse 15 says his scales are impenetrable. Verse 18-21 says it can spew a burning chemical spray from out of its mouth like fire.Verses 26-28 says iron and brass weapons and arrows are as straw and stubble to him. Verse 31 says he makes the sea to boil like a pot when he moves through it. The description here is of a ocean/land dinosaur which is fearless indeed.

Ancient peoples all over the world have accounts of dinosaur-like creatures roaming the earth. Some accounts over time have become embellished or exaggerated. However many accounts are descriptive, straight-forward and told in a factual manner. There have been cave drawings which look uncannily like an Edmontosaurus. An old science book from Europe called "Historia Animalium" states that dragons were not extinct until the 1500's. The dragons had become extremely rare and small by then. This would be consistent with the creation account of gradual dinosaur extinction due to harsh post-flood conditions and hunting.
It would appear that these guys belief that dinosaurs breath fire and can cause seas to ?boil? and that dragons are real and were alive and about during the middle-ages. :?

They however left out Job 40:16, out of their description of the behemoth.
Lo now, his strength is in his loins, and his force is in the navel of his belly.
I wonder why...

BTW Stephen Mitchell has translated the same verse a bit differently in his book The Book of Job.
Look: the power in his thighs, the pulsing sinews of his belly. His penis stiffens like a pine; his testicles bulge with vigor.
-- Job 40:16

 Yeah, this is a dinosaur :?:

I specially like this one.
For what it's worth, I could also consider valid as scienctific evidence the mythical sea monsters that inhabited the Atlantic, that would crush ships, and eat crewmenbers, and which suddendly became extinct when Portuguese discoverers started travelling through the oceans...

These people do go through some distorted paths, just to prove their point.

Human population statistics indicate that growth tends to be geometric with time. Dr. Henry Morris has provided the following statistical information in his book "The Genesis Flood". From an estimated population base of 300 million in 700 A.D. it took 950 years to 1650 A.D. for population to double. In only 200 years from 1650 to 1850 it doubled again to 1.2 billion. From 1850 to 1950 in only 100 years it doubled again to 2.4 billion. As population continues to grow we will be adding 1 billion people every 15 - 20 years.
Not this argument again. He believes that the laws of nature fluctuale wildly, making radioactive dating worthless, but goes on to say how population increases at a fixed rate.

I'm sure Mike has refuted every point on that page on his essays on YECism.[/quote]
