I'm not. Palpy is one hell of a xenophobe. It'd be like a Grand Dragon of the KKK going to a black man to repair his car.

Well, most likely, Palpy didn't realize how much of a thorn in his side the Mon Cals were gonna be. Actually I think he just made them slaves and took over there ship building factories to start pumping out ISDs. To kill the planet would've destroyed those factories.

But the Mon Cals drove em out and then started colaborating with the Rebs. And by the time the Imps could send any one over to Mon Calamari, it was probably overrun with Mon Cal cruisers waiting to blast em all into space dust.

so send 20 or 30 ^^ from what I can tell, it was a major armoury for the rebellion, and thusprimary target. . . why else would he have so many isds?

*Scratchs head, Now how agian do you harm Orbital Assembly areas by BDZing the planet? :D

And to be exact the first Star Crusiers where pleasure cruisers which where secretly modified into ships of war by Grafting weaponry on(They already had the shielding after all Pleasure crusiers have to run from pirates... ;) )

Saxton speculates that the Mon Calamari may have mined all hyperspace approaches so densely that it was not considered worth attacking it, even if they were (essentially) the Armory of the Rebellion.

A question.

Did the Quarren and the Mon Cal both support the Rebellion or just the MonCals? Or did the MonCal just tell the Quarren to shut the F*** up.

Mon Cal's Openly but the Quarren have always been closed by nature and never threw in support for either side, We see examples of Quarren both servering the Empire AND the Rebelleion along with spoting them hanging with people like Jabba while Mon Cal's are pretty much solid NR supporters
